Damn cats and children move to fast for me. But not John. Nope, he's steady as a rock and posed as if he were blissfully unaware of my existance.
Ready for your close-up, Mr. Lennon?
Thank you, the second one is a good profile (first one's too busy, IMHO)
My grand grand father was a popular poet in Setubal.
He was a poor worker in the harbour. António Maria Eusébio .
Wow, you have quite a heritage!
Nice picture, but IMHO a bit too busy. Bad light, busy b/g... I'd reshoot at a different time of day, dawn or dusk, it would hide the b/g and will help with the primary subject.

I agree with you.
I was passing in that park some hours ago and I could feel the light was harsh.
Next time. But it fulfills the goal.
My heritage: he could not read or write. He was working in the ships. Putting some kind of stuff between the wood for the water not to go in. Do you understand ? Hope so.
He dictated the popular poems to someone who could write.! Incredible.
Heritage. Noble heritage. Working heritage. Proletarian heritage.
I got my husband to pose for some portrait practice for me tonight, but before he started being cooperative I took this shot (he's playing a game on his cell phone here):
And then I just love snapping photos of my dog and she turned away for a pleasant profile
The goal of my photos this evening were more portrait in nature so those are the only profiles I managed to capture.

Good one on the hubby!
On the dog, you can see his/her both eyes, I'm afraid this won't qualify...
I think it looks soft because of a really narrow DOF. I was practicing using my 50/1.8 at church and I was keeping it at f2 I think. I think the girl on the right has her ear in focus, but the girl on the left is past the area in focus. I think.

Very good, too!
I bit too hot on top, IMHO, but who cares
I'd crop the groom out, THEN it's be full profile! Who looks at the groom anyway?
Indeed. Nothing to do.
That area was burned.:cry

I'd cut the grass, though :-)
Took this today. Unfortunately not ALL the penguins were cooperating. But two out of three ain't too bad ...
You could've just cropped the uncooperative one out

Seems a bit soft, no?

Good one #1
I would not count #2, though, but that's just me
