Was testing out my "new to me" old Pentax-A 50mm f/1.4 @ f/1.4. I say not soft when wide open...
    IMGP25582-vi.jpg

Still playing with f/1.4 just to see if I can (manual focus after all; need to get a KatzEye screen!)
    IMGP25624-vi.jpg

This one, mounted on a Pentax 1.7x AF TC to turn it into a fantastic 85mm auto-focus lens... this one being the softest of the series with that TC. I thought it was too contrasty in a few of my other shots (not posted here). folks on antoher forum I frequent liked this one:

I'll add, the above finished with a softer mood. I know some people hate this type of conversion, but I like it so much better than the unaltered original.
    IMGP25553-vi.jpg

I did this one below a day or two before. I'd front focused the photo, but instead of being a total loss giving it the soft finishing brought it to another level compared to the unaltered original.

This is Ginger - we're the 3rd owner, but had her a good 7 yrs now and she's not going any where. We think she's part shepard/part terrier. With her ears up, the shepard part really shows through.

Wow. Some lovely dogs on here. I've just learned how to blur the background. This is Spirit. I rescued her off the streets about 6 months ago. She is looking much better now.

Adorable. Dare I ask how he got his name? Garbage disposal on 4 legs perhaps?

You may recall the JPGs from the camera w/o pp posted earlier. I saw DPReview opened a Challenge section. I subscribed just to enter this. By the time I got through finally converting a few from RAW (months overdue) & picking what I wanted to enter, submission had been closed! :ugh: But I went thru the effort, so...
