You may recall the JPGs from the camera w/o pp posted earlier. I saw DPReview opened a Challenge section. I subscribed just to enter this. By the time I got through finally converting a few from RAW (months overdue) & picking what I wanted to enter, submission had been closed! :ugh: But I went thru the effort, so...

    Macie
Macie is a Shorkie that I gave my wife for Christmas. After 15 years with an awesome Beagle, she's been a real change of pace. It's been a while since we raised a baby (kids or pups) so sleep deprivation has been the norm lately. This is one of her quieter moments.

They stayed that way for 1/2 hour. rolleyes1.gifI was so happy I had the camera & FA 50/1.4 next to me. If I went upstairs to get it that probably would have disturbed them. (I just wish I had a 43mm or 35mm on the camera, but I made due)

    Another Old Dog (model) Photo
Nice thing about old dogs is that they are very patience and will sit still. This was done when test two flash umbrellas lighting.

So sorry to hear about Shelby ... I've always found a little comfort in this:

"Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together...."

Thanks for the nice comments Lynn and Kara! I have so many shots that I was thinking a dog an hour instead of a dog a day.....:D

Here's another one of my favorite shots. It took about 20 shots to get this one.

Thanks for the welcome and the comment on my pictures.

Seeing these golden retrievers having a whale of a time in the water I thought I would add a springer to the collection.

Ailla does not need any encouragement to enter the waterrolleyes1.gif

Oh gosh! Don't they have a blast in the water, all of them? I can't resist posting one of Samson (last year) in the water doing what he does best.

And I might slip another one of Luke in here. He's 4 mos. old now and the other photo I took of him was at about 3 mos. old I think, but the photo I'm going to post just underneath here of Luke was taken at about 2 1/2 mos old.

    563369246_Bpbr5-L.jpg

And now for some more golden water fun!
