Speaking of barking...mine is just plain quiet. Oh, he barks once and a while but even the mailman doesn't phase him.

Just now, we were watching Nat Geo (he sits on the couch too) a tiger was running at the camera. OMG! I thought he was gonna lose it lol3.gif The bark was coming from way back toward his butt. So funny!

Yep that sounds just like Roxy. If something like that comes on the TV she goes crazy and wants to jump into the TV. Pretty funny to see.

There is always that look of "hey, I am trying to relax here why are you bothering me?"

Oh course from the front she does look a lot like Alf from that show in 70's. rolleyes1.gif

Sorry to hear about Sadie's cancer. Here is our baby. She had cancer in in front right leg. She lost it back in October 2008. She is getting around pretty good on three legs.

Laughing.gif...I thought my rottie was the only dog that actually watched TV. She will sit and watch with us but if someone acts aggressive on TV she's up and all over the screen. I'm not sure if she's being protective or just wants to join in the fun... :)

My pal Gromit (Pembroke Welsh Corgi, below) is a regular TV watcher if there are animals with animal sounds. Geese, dogs, whatever, he tunes in. He sat there and watched most of NatGeo's "And Man Created Dog" with me.

Our much loved Golden died last spring. We were planning to wait one year before replacing her (or not). I lasted until April when I broke down and downsized to a Cardigan Welsh Corgi (the Corgi with a tail).

Beautiful shot of Lily. The light is gorgeous as is she. I lost my little dog over a year ago and still tear up when I think about him, so I know how you feel. I have a golden too. Your little Corgi is adorable! Funny thing, I have never actually seen a photo before of a Corgi puppy. Just adults. I was beginning to think they are like squirrels or pigeons - you never see the young ones . . . :)

    Goldens cannot be replaced.

Love the pictures. Very nice shots.

A very wise person once said "A new dog can never take the place of an old dog but in time will make a place for itself."

You made a good choice with your Cardi, in time she'll make her own place too. I never expect to have a dog as wonderful as my last Pembroke Welsh Corgi but my new one, Gromit, is becoming a great pal.

    Roxy the Bearded Wonder Dog
Our groomer wanted to have some shots of our Giant Schnauzer for her website so I grabbed some shots last time she was here. The setting was not even close to decent. She was up on the grooming table with my garage doors in the background and it was almost high Noon direct sunlight. headscratch.gif

Luckily with a little help from Photoshop I was able to replace the background and at least make them acceptable. Not a pro job by any means but she was happy.

It was next to impossible to get Roxy to pull her tongue in and close her mouth. rolleyes1.gif

Too much fun is right! :D It was really funny tonight my 94 year old parents saw the picture with her mouth open and freaked out on the appearance of her beard. They thought it was way too long. I didn't want to take the time to explain the lens distortion and the fact she had her jaw dropped down so the beard appeared twice as long as it is.

Even with her mouth closed if you look at her from the front she looks just like "Alph" from that alien sitcom in the 70s. rolleyes1.gif

    Bootsy at Dewey Beach
a favorite thing to do for the several hundred owners of retired racing greyhounds and their hounds who get together at dewey beach, de, during the columbus day weekend is to walk along the beach. this is especially true during sunrise and/or sunset. i took this picture of a greyhound i know during one such morning walk.
