Sneak Peak

It seems that many of us who have qualified for the Final are still tweaking photos...trying to get it just right (as if "just right" really existed), and/or we are holding off until the end to post our photo. So, just for fun to try and create a little action in the forum, those of us who are getting closer to the end product, what if we show "hints" of what is coming. If you are really good at photoshop, why not make it a puzzle and every day, add a new piece?

Looks like a great story is brewing. I'm curious. Want to see more. And what about " here's a 'piece' of one that I like"...You have more than one to choose from? I have one...that's it! No chances for a back up.

I agree with NeilL. Looks interesting (looks like a mystery so far). Can I see more? And about leveraging the cold winter...that is the only option I have. I have a 5 foot deep drift in my front yard that I have yet to dig out from. Snow on the side of the road is up to 9 feet deep with one lane of traffic in some areas. Can't wait for spring.

Even just the thumb of yours, makes me feel cold! But it makes me feel something, so that's good! We're supposed to get 8 inches tonight, so I am very lucky I had got in an outdoor shoot last week, when it was a "balmy" 40 degrees.

Yeah, I've got a few I've been shootin. I've tried some landscapes and a couple portraits. Nothing creative though, which is really bothering me. My landscapes seem flat or empty. I need help.

I was just over to the "People" forum and the trumpet shot...love it. I think you have something brewing there as well. So why don't you just show us the rest of the "Stage Door" photo?

All my shots are still in camera at this stage, but I don't think any of the existing bunch will make it past the cutting floor.

Friday and Saturday are my big plan days, so I'll post a tease on Saturday night at the earliest.

Oh heck, by then, I'll just post all the options I'm working on and then pick one to enter on Sunday night......

As to the ways to improve it: grunge treatment + some human figure (opera villain, a musician on a nicotine break, etc.)

what is grunge treatment? I have a girl meeting me tomorrow in a golden party dress - she's going to pose coming down the stairs - just her lower half in the pic. what about that idea?

Yeah, that would be lovely!
I'd suggest shooting from the tripod, starting an empty shot first and then have her in different poses in different places - this way you can decide what works best later and, most importantly, blend easily thus giving her (one or more sintances) a ghostly look.

Great base image! I like the ideas you are working with and I endorse Nikolai's ideas as well. I think you have a great image brewing!!

After all my "venting" I managed a few possibilities. Still want to do a portrait, though if I have time. I can't make up my mind on these. I guess that means I haven't captured my best contender yet! But I'm leaning towards the first.
