Rock on. That is awesome. Brings to mind Watchers for me.
Wow...thank you all for the kind comments! As for the book...here it is. I wrote this back in 1996. It is about 85 pages broken down into 7 different chapters.
1) Beauty
2) Relationships
3) Emotions
4) Social Behavior
5) Money
6) Spirituality
And yes...each chapter is blank. I'm working on the next revision now, but I'm a slow learner; research is difficult and inconsistent. Good thing my angel wife is patient with me. I hope to have it ready for press by January 2050.
I thought I'd introduce my entry and my runner up.... since I posted the thumbs of both. I went back and forth, but just decided that my current entry ("enough...") had more layers to it than the other one....
enough.... (this is a SP)

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr! Sometime I'll have to share my white papers on men! :-) I AM surprised that the pages are blank - I would suspect it would contain some of your cool pics!
I thought I'd introduce my entry and my runner up.... since I posted the thumbs of both. I went back and forth, but just decided that my current entry ("enough...") had more layers to it than the other one....

Two very beautiful and emotional pictues. I bet it was hard for you to choose between them. I love your post production. What is your process?

Thank you so much, Steven! (On a side note, in my head you're "Shatch", which is not easy to pronounce! !)
As for processing, on the second one, I used a preset in LR that's called "contrasty - strong" which really ups the contrast. I did a minor crop, some small adjustments to exposure and the black clipping and that's it. The exciting thing for me with that shot is that it came out exactly as I'd envisioned with very little tweaking.
The first shot was a little more difficult. I used the same preset with no additional tweaking at first, but that ended up blowing out the tub spigot too much so I layered the same photo on itself in two different exposures and brought back some of the spigot to make it more obvious. Some minor cloning to remove the overflow drain and a towel rack and that's it! (You can see the original untouched here.)
if anyone is interested in the LR preset, just email me at andi@tippiepics.com.
.....or his? Never underestimate the femme fatale. Thanks Steven!
Oooops! I stand corrected. Maybe I should say, "It makes me want to jump into the photo to take pictures of the carnage as she skillfully dismembers the assailant. Then I could sell the photos to the local paper."
Did I recover enough or do I need to keep eating more humble pie?
It was just my feeble attempt to try and do the "manly" thing and help save her. It is what my mother taught me growing up. I would hate to disappoint her.

Me being a "Sin City" fan would also look into a sincity-like bolder bw cartoonish treatment, but it's just me
Thank you so much, Tessa! It was hard, but mainly because I know the competition is very fierce already.... Yours is wonderful, too!
Thanks again!

Great photo! I love the tension and story in it. Makes me want to jump through the picture and come to her rescue.
