    Example
    Hi Divamum...
Here's an example with that exact softbox....for the price, portability and quality it's hard to beat...

    1066852265_zReGc-L.jpg

With an SB900 and hi sync....
The only drawback I've found is that the clamping mechanism for the ball head that pivots the unit on the mount seems to require quite a bit of torque. The actual T fitting on the screw could be a bit larger. Considering how much is hanging over the pivot point I guess it might be expected. Otherwise it's held up fine and I carry one everywhere because it's so portable. :D

That corner appears to be part of the softbox but it was a part of a metal gate she was near...still...awfully close:D

I wish my 60" had the detachable shaft though. It's like a spear sticking out in front.

Another option to consider in similar size - Aurora FireFly - 20", quite portable, very good quality

Oh wow - I had no idea! That's one of the best parts about the 45" I have - it can be almost flat if I turn it vertically and remove the shaft; very good in small space accordingly thumb.gif

Tom, that setup really is very cool. What did you use as attachments?

Are you shooting ettl or manual with the softbox??

right now I am using brolley boxes and they work great but a 16 or 24 inch s-box would be
easier to carry I do believe and no so much feathering when I want to only light part of a face
    or object.

Shot that manually Art. That's my usual. I think you're right about the rest of it. Highly portable and honestly at the cost if I only got a year out of it I'd feel I got my money's worth. But they're holding up just fine.

    You mean the pieces parts?

Diva, I don't know! I do know I buy brackets and parts and then take them apart and end up with many components that can then be used together with other parts and assembled. That is partially why I put the photos up with those in there. I just went and looked them over and held them, and said: "I don't know."

I can take better photos of the little pieces if that would at all help you.

That's nice light. Size only suitable for close headshots etc. What's the damage on these?
