    Question for you eye-max...

I noticed that you image is hosted on pbase. Do you know if they compress your images when you upload them? I can't help but notice the artifacting around the moon and other places in your image and wondered if that was a result of something you did or pbase.

There are some smugmuggers that are having a difficult time with compression issues and if this is the result of pbase's compression scheme, it'd be something good to compare photos from smugmug with.
    Hi Mike.
:D The majority of the blame is with me. It's a poorly processed image. I used a friends notebook to process it rolleyes1.gif.

    Sunset from Kona, Hawaii
Used my little Fuji Z1. First time I tried to take sunsets with it and since its pretty much totally automatic, well....... I don't think they're too bad.

    Thanks for looking.

This one was taken looking over my neighbor's roof one evening. The big cloud formation in the middle reminded me of a frog (legs are towards the bottom of the picture, frog's nose is near the top). The pic didn't capture it as well as I wanted but if you squint a bit, you can still see it. :)
