Re: Goalie with some post processing
Hello from a UND grad class of 82'. I like the processing but would tone down the whites just a bit. The Sioux colors are white and green so I am not bothered by the green overall tint! You have the perfect start to a poster here. I would definitely use the space you have to add graphics! Cropping the dead space leaves you… -
Re: Men's BBall: Valpo vs. Green Bay
Yes they won, 82 to 73! I don't do noise reduction in Lightroom. I only shoot at ISO 1600 because that's all my Rebel XTi goes up to. We have pretty terrible lighting because they don't keep all the lights on, so I shoot at f2.8 and 1/400 and then come back to the computer and have been doing WB tweaking, and curves to… -
Re: Curious
That round also included effects in post processing, and there wasn't much against photographing a filtering effect occurring naturally, I think. And besides, you can easily reproduce the effect of some filters right in the camera. Fiddling with the white balance for example would give you the equivalents of several series… -
Re: HDR results- Photomatix vs Essential HDR
I am not a pro either and fairly new on this forum, which I found accidently. But I create photos for like 30 years or so and I am a software knitter for this long as well. Continuing the argument...no problem...:D...did I mention the halos in Photomatix and that I have that product as well??? £82 - that's about $119 and… -
Re: Off to Wine Country! (5 pics)
Hi DanielB, Thanks! I'm glad you like it. I used Lightroom for the conversion and the crop. The final parameters were: Greyscale conversion +2.35 exposure 37 recovery 11 blacks -22 brightness +82 contrast and the auto greyscale mixer So essentially, I jacked up the exposure and then jacked up the contrast, and then brought… -
FS: 82mm Hoya Super-HMC Pro1 Slim Circular Polarizer
No defects in glass, print, rim, or threads. Rotates smoothly. 5mm thin so it won't vignette even on ultrawide lenses, but still has front threads for attaching a filter or lens cap. I've decided that I personally prefer a warming polarizer, so I'm offering this one for sale at a price that I'd consider a really good buy… -
Re: a street in Essaouira
thanks a lot SimpleShane you must not use an Heliopan ND 0.9, you can take a B+W or any dark filter, Heliopan are very good filters but quite expensive, that one cost 200 euros maybe (I d'ont remember) , it is a 95mm filter with a reducer for the 82 mm TSE 24, I used these filters on Hasselblad before I have done a series… -
Re: Igorot People of the Mountain Province of the Philippines
Ifugao not Igorot I've done some hiking and spent time in the back country here in '82. As a heads up for you: Ifugao - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ifugao Ifugao is a landlocked province of the Philippines in the Cordillera ... It is named after the term "i-pugo" which means "i" (from/people) and… -
#82 - Spirits of the Night
Have tried to think what would signify midnight, and while not a Michael Jackson fan his song Thriller comes to mind. Not too keen on trying to take a spooky photo at a cemetery at midnight, so have tried to create the impression of spirits coming alive at home: #1 Spirits Come Alive [IMG][/img] #2 Spirits Come Alive…
