Re: Can any other brand beat Canon L
You had to go and throw in "even if i have to get a special fitting for my 5d mk2." didn't you :p Without that proviso, the answer to "Can any other brand beat Canon L" would have been Yes - HEAPS!! Unsurprisingly, Canon L glass on Canon equipment is pretty hard to beat, but there are options out there like Sigma's EX… -
Re: Recent Senior Session
Very nice set of shots, Tracy! You did a fantastic job with the lighting. She is a cute gal and photographs nicely. She did seem a bit uncomfortable posing, especially standing up, and looked awkward in some shots. I picked out some shots I particularly liked and realized alot of the ones I chose she was sitting down. She… -
Re: The software options for upgrading dgrin
So every night I read myself to sleep over forum features, other forum owner's experiences, and testing them for myself. I've eliminated Discourse from the pool, so we're down to three: 1. NodeBB (pretty, cool, up-and-coming but young and I can't find any big, high-traffic boards on it yet, so being very cautious. Our team… -
Spine Breadcrumb CSS Question
For a while now I've had a bit of CSS aimed at a "spine" breadcrumb that stacks on the right side of a desktop screen. It's been working well until a few weeks ago but I'm only now addressing it. it used to stack very nicely but is now all jumbled together. Sample gallery Here's the code I am using. I haven't been able to… -
Photo Package Bug

First off, when I click the Buy button, then Photo Package, I see the package. But the way it's displayed looks mottled. I'm using FF3.6. I select that package, click… -
Re: Need good CF card for Marathon shooting
The speed of the cf card may not be your limit. I'm not familiar with Nikons but I think they have a built in buffer where the images go first, just like Canon's do. From there they are written out to the CF card. Check your cameras' spec's and you will probably find a limit as to how may 8fs images you can take… -
CS6 - subscription vs paid app
Hi, Interesting move today with Adobe and CS6. They have rolled out some new features that are only available if you have purchased the Cloud based subscription, and not if you have just bought (for example) a stand alone version of CS6. The two features I was bummed to see not supported in the stand alone CS6 I have are… -
Smugmug upload and view photo slow problem
The photo view and upload is very smooth a few months ago, but don't know why the download and upload photo speed is very poor. Uploaded x26 photos (6M / each) takes me several hours. Please give me a hand of the trace route record as captured below C:\>tracert -d cmac.smugmug.com Tracing route to a539.b.akamai.net… -
Civil War Heavy Metal
Fort Clinch is one of the best-preserved Civil War forts in the country. It's located at the very northern-most point in coastal Florida....at the tip of Amelia Island. The construction of the fort began in 1847 and it functioned as an active fort throughout the Civil War and during the following Seminole Indian wars. The…
