Re: Need Advice Quickly on second shooter rights
Hi All, I've had a good read of this and clearly everyone inc myself should have everything 110% in writing from the start. Word means nothing, although it seems if you take the images on your own equipment etc you do tecnhically own the images. I myself use second shooters and recently have decided to rethink the whole… -
25 Images from the October Acadia Trip
25 Images From The Acadia Trip Here are some of what I thought were keepers from the DGrin/Smugmug Acadia trip this autumn. Stuffjunkie (Kevin) and I drove out from Chicago in separate cars to Acadia. Along the way, we met up with Ann McRae, cmkultradome (Stepahanie), Phyxius (Christina) and Loper (Debbie) and stayed one… -
>>> 2.1 (Moving Forward): Critique/Discussion Thread
In the new challenge format, we now have a week between shooting rounds to critique and discuss the photos, the topic, the weather... Ok, maybe not so much the weather, but the point is: this is a community driven thread! It's up to you all to use this week "off" constructively. As soon as the judges make their decisions,… -
A week in Madrid (warning - lots of pictures!)
In November of this past year we took a somewhat spur-of-the-moment trip to Madrid. It didn't take us very long to fall in love with this magnificent city. I apologize in advance - this isn't a particularly "artistic" set of photos, just my impressions of our few days. We arrived on Saturday afternoon and after checking in… -

DSS 41 first challenge C&C?
Hi, I'm new here, got my D5000 for Christmas. I'm not set up very well for the kinds of shots I've seen so far (I had the idea of the "first date" too, maybe like going to work in the morning, or pairs of slippers on the white lambswool rug, or something similar). What I ended up shooting was an "as-is" arrangement of the… -
Re: 2,000th Dgrinner
Not so quick, for some reason the software is assigning numbers on the same sign up day out of order, by time. I don't know why, but 1/9 ends with 46 total users and the last to sign up is right. It is a slow night so I did some looking at statics and this is what I found. I don't know what the time refers to, the original… -
Re: Call of the North
Call of the North (15): Stockholm July 28, 21:13 Live transmission from the deck of the ship Marinella: sunset. Before getting here though, the highlight of the short visit in Stockholm was meeting Stefan. Very pleasant, ideal for battery-charging before the Final Call of the North. I'm sorry that I haven't spent one more… -
Re: Balkan Express
The Rhine The Rhine and its adjoining areas are dotted with wonderful elements of European history; from the violence and insecurity of its distant feudal past to its more refined elegance which peaked in the late 19th century, but vrutally dissapeared early in the 20th. Mannheim First mentioned in 766 AD, My fair city,… -
Re: Underpricing your images
This thread has really given me cause to think about streamlining my own pricing - because I don't deal in paper sales as a rule, I've been kind of loosey-goosey about this, but given that it does come up occasionally it's time I set some "global" print prices and unified my galleries at some kind of sensible market rate.…
