Challenge 63...
I've decided that if I am able to get on the net, I should be posting photos to the photo challenges (well, only if I'm not the one running them for the week that is). I love long exposure shots so this is a good one for me. It looks like I'll get a chance to take some fireworks shots on friday. :clap If so one of those… -

Re: My First Wedding- Christina's and An's wedding!
Not really.. I rented it for my portrait session that was on Wednesday. I am finishing those up right now. I did use the 70-200 for the wedding, I had it for a week so I figured why not. The place didn't have the need for a far away shots. It was all really close together. And since I was up and about all the time, the… -
Re: Mini-Challenge #205 - Lonely Tree
Quite a few lonely trees along the missouri bottoms This guy along Hwy 63 is no longer with us Not really for the contest, but for those who like big trees, this link is an image I made of the record holder for Burr Oak in Missouri. It's a Hawk!
Ok bad picture as far as light and color, but it is IN FOCUS! After 4PM, very cloudy f4, 400, 200mm, 1/800 and REALLY cropped. Just a couple minutes before he was sitting right outside the kitchen window..had the 50mm on the camera:cry Oh yea it was doing the rain/sleet thing. This is the second day he has buzzed in at… -
Blood Moon
On a sudden whim, I decided to get up at 3am and drive 63 miles to San Francisco to photograph the so called, "blood moon", lunar eclipse. The eclipse was at 5am, and the moonset was at 7am. Here is the moonset first. #1 #2 #3 #4 #5 This last one is really strange. Evidently there was a fog line on the horizon that was… -
Evaluative metering
"Evaluative metering. The standard metering mode; the 7D attempts to intelligently classify your image and choose the best exposure based on readings from 63 different zones in the frame, with emphasis on the autofocus points." BUT... how many times I have been "caught out" with the single focus point hitting either a very… -
Re: Soccer Tournament revisited
So far (three weeks post tournament, two weeks after all the posting done) and there have been $63 in sales via smugmug and $175 purchased directly from me. Really not as lucrative as it should be. Then there has been the 4 sets of team photos for a total of $320, and two further projects of shooting a game full of action…
