Re: Andy/Baldy - feed me
Bump to be #500! It's been just over 10 weeks and I'm down 13lbs to 194 on my way to 175. Continued thanks to Baldy, Andy, Anne, Sitrfry and everyone who has contributed here and helps keep me on track. We have switched baby formula to Alimentum which contains broken down proteins. We mentioned it to our pediatrician and… -
Re: The Stories They Could Tell
It's great to hear from you, John. Our time of sharing some experiences in the high country is coming. I'm setting up about a 6 week stay up there for the coming Summer and I hope you'll be able to scoot up some time during that period. I'll keep you informed about all that. BTW....If you haven't done it, the next time… -

Magnolia Swamp Walk
Got up early this morning and went to Magnolia Plantation and walked around the swamp. Used my new Sigma 70-200 lens. I didn't have a tripod so hand-held it and tried not to breath... all in all I was pretty pleased with the shots. Here's just a few. Comments welcome. DEAL: Ritek 8gb 150X CF Card $199
I bought this card for my 30D last week from newegg.com. I thought my old Kingston 4gb 45x and Lexar 2gb 80x cards were fast, but this thing is the shiznit! I've tested this on my card readers and 30D, and I immediately noticed the speed difference with this card! Before, I could not tell the difference between the… -

Canadian Superbike Championships - Rd 1.
Was planning on going to Calabogie for the Canadian Superbikes both Saturday and Sunday, but unfortunately I've got the world's worst headcold. Managed to make it Saturday, but felt like death warmed up by the time I got home so had to bail on going Sunday. As they say in the classics, Bugger! Anyway, while the track…
