Re: Travel camera
I still think you are better off not getting anything in the price range you have budgeted and using what you have. You have dismissed the fuji x100/x100s as possibly being too limiting but I have found having one lens is freeing. I just shot a proposal celebration with a D3s/70-200 2.8 combo and my x100s. Out of 174… -
Re: Wedding + SERIOUES ISSUES = Not in a good mood!
Thanks for the reply. 1. I'm on a MacBook, so I don't have Explorer, but do have Firefox and Safari. How do I view the photos in an Internet Browser while the photos are still on the card? Btw...I don't have a card reader, just importing from camera. 2. I will try importing with Canon's Utility next and straight to my… -
Re: Canon Loyalty Program
I recently sent in my Canon S90 since the flash stopped working. They said it was water damage, although I cannot recall how this would have happened since I frequently keep this camera in a Pelican case. Regardless, they offered me another S90 for $174 shipped, but also indicated I could potentially get a G11 although… -
Which ones for Mini #174
In the past I've only asked for help AFTER I posted something. But I've got the feeling that I should be asking before I decide. And this time, since I asked about posting places which no longer exist, I feel an obligation to post an old photo of something that is no longer there. I am finding that my old slide/film photos… -
Re: SmugMug Feature Requests #2
Prices need to come down Smugmug's prices are getting old and out of date with the times. I've been using Adorama and a couple of other places to fulfill my orders instead of smugmug due to the cost of prints. Adorama, for example, has 5x7" Lustre prints for 59 cents each. Even that is expensive when ordering quantity. For… -

Re: Andy/Baldy - feed me
OK, so I promised Baldy that I would report back on my blood chemistry. :D It's a mixed bag, but then again, I'm a mixed bag! I've been really diligent about the diet, maintaining a very strict ETL regimen. BUT: I work 9 hours minimum a day, have a 1+ hour commute each way, leaving very little time for exercise. On top of… -

Re: International Bandwidth
Thank you Wirelessfor getting back to me. It's not just the movie watching that slow. I understand streaming mpeg1 is very tough to do, esp from overseas...but even photo viewing is not the snappiest either. I did a tracert for you just so you know what kind of latency i am having here: Tracing route to hera.smugmug.com… -
