Out the window at Highway speeds
On the way to the state fair, my wife decided to drive. Leaving me in the passenger seat with nothin' to do but play with my camera. :wink. All taken out through the window of a Dodge Intrepid driving at New York State Thruway Speeds. We would certainly never drive faster than the posted limit of 65 mph, right? 1. 2. 2a.… -
Still learning to post-Don't mind me-
Howdy, This is an image of a Teddy Bear Cholla Flower. It's only a close-up and not a true macro shot, please forgive? I'm still trying to figure out the posting demands so if just a link appears instead of an image I've made the same mistake twice, please don't let me do that...it's embrassing! So dip me in sheep dip, I… -
Re: Show us your business Card!
Thanks for the feedback folks. I have taken taken note of your comments & suggestions and worked on this now I'm actually with it (rather than @ 1am when I was finishing the originals). I have come up with some alternatives and simplified the information on them if you wouldn't mind critiquing them. #1a - simplified… -
Re: Some wine tasting and some engaging: Jeremy and Genevieve
Great series! I absolutely love 1B and 2A. 1A isn't doing it for me because they look kind of awkward in the composition. With the dramatic lighting and the position of their heads and hands, it kind of looks like he's forcing his attentions on her. (Here comes my emoticons) huh She reminds me of Claire Danes, Gwyneth… -
Need input on crop...
Hello all, I found some cool shots today while walking the pooch and wanted some input on cropping. Let me know which you think has the better impact. 1. This one is a little fuzzy was screwing around with focal lengths. 2. 3. and second set. 1A 2A 3A Let me know what you think. I think the closer crops are always better,… -

I was unable to get back the these forums, due to several reasons, like the lack of time and poor internet connection and now in the last minute I'd like to have your opinion please. My current entry is this one that I like: However, I have a few more that I think may be worth bringing to your attention: - Subject: "The… -
Re: Suggestions for remote wireless release?
oo only my sekonic L558 lightmeter & my Nikon f70 uses those and luckily the drain so minimal, with the L558 that it lasts over a year......I change it when it hits approx 20% power left.........I would not use a trigger of any sort with those.....for me if it doesn't run on a standard 3a or 2a batt it will fail me as soon… -
Re: #96 first attempts
Here are some different options on #2. I tried to go with a more vertical crop, but wound up with way too much white sky... at least it was too me. I still feel like there is a lot, but then that could work for the vanishing idea. 2a) Cropped differently 2b) another Crop - vertical 2c) New crop with vignetting added. Good… -
Wupatki - Wukoki
I was out at Wupatki on the Colorado Plateau last summer and got around to processing some of the shots recently. I'd love to hear any C&C. #1 is a stitched HDR pano consisting of 15, 3-shot brackets. Took a while to process ;) . I'm most curious about C&C on this one. #2 is two versions of a doorway in the ruins. Curious… -
Re: #93 - Old
2a. Here's the original photo converted from RAW file. 2b. Here's The effect used in #2 but with opacity at 100%. (in #2 i had turned up the tranparancy of the effect just a bit to let some color come through) 2c. Here's the effect with the transparancy turned up even more and a boost to the whites. I added a bit of grain…
