Weekly Assignment #133: Newstexture
I'm sure everybody have seen plenty of examples of textured portrait. This time around we'll try to do one, only using newspaper(s) as the texture source. Your entry should include the original portrait shot (you can use pet as your subject if humans are hard to come by), a shot of a "texture source" or two and, of course,… -

Skippy One more thing when you have the 20d set to self timer and c.fn 12 set to enable it shortens the time to trip the shuter If you shoot nightshots with the mirror lockup disabled then the 20d timer takes long time to trip the shutter Just give it a try both ways and you see how it works:D I use it on nightshots on a… -
Re: New image sizes?
Ture, but the trend to higher resolutions will continue once that trend has stopped. In a few years those 24" screens will likely have 200+ pixels per inch resolution. Meaning that 1024 pixel wide image you feel is "large enough" will be ~5" across. Higher and higher resolution displays show up every quarter. The flat… -
Re: CF Card for Video Use in 5DMKii
It may, the only way to really tell is start recording and see what happens. If it craps out in 20 seconds you know they won't work. Re: Why is 'laptop' lingo so different to PC's
If you trust the people, then the machine spec looks nice. It may be a little hard to tell how it would cope with 'airport abuse', but the component specs look OK, as long as it has been engineered by someone with neurons... The price of an extended warranty is often an interesting sign of how confident a company are. The… -
Re: Muench Workshops: The Return of Wild Utah
Grand Junction is pretty neat with the Colorado National Monument being well worth the visit. The drive from Grand Junction to Carbondale (via 50/92/133) is very beautiful. It will take longer than going I70, but is well worth it. Aspen is really neat, but Maroon Bells takes the cake. It is incredibly beautiful, especially… -
