Excessive bandwidth of only one picture
Hi Smugmug, It seems that i have one picture that takes up a lot of bandwidth. It is strange, since i never put it in an online forum and such and it is not a great picture. This month and, if i remember well, last month, that image alone is responsible for a quarter of my bandwidth: over 400MBytes out of 2GBytes total.… -
Re: GPS data in EXIF
For those using a PC, this is a very simple, low cost GPS that can be mounted to either your camera strap, camera bag, wrist, etc. Garmin Foretrex 101 Wrist-mounted GPS Navigator It's < $90 at Amazon right now. Runs on two AAA batteries. The serial cable adds another $15. I'm not sure why they went with a serial cable, but… -
Re: Long Telephoto for Sports -- 300 vs 400
Isn't LAX actually in So Cal? I highlighted the key word. Here is the link to the NCAA Division I Manual. I think the correct phrase is "Extra Benefit" (Bylaws, Article 16, 16.02.3 on page 199). Luckily it was only $201 shipped back to me to fix my camera,… -

After much deliberation, here are my thoughts and the final selections: Honorable mentions: - Tatiana - "I'm gonna catchya" - love how the ducks are in line as if one was chasing the other. Nice clarity as well. - Sdways01 - "Cows watching… -

Request for crossdomain.xml file in root directory
I am building a Flex application that plays in a Flash player. I would like to access images both through the API, url links, and the smugmug random image script. Since Flex is security conscious, it needs permission from your web site domain to access the images and access the pixel level information. This allows Flex to… -
Re: This sub-forum has corrupted me...
I started using film several months ago in addition to digital, I get bored and this energized me. I also found that with no LCD screen to look at I moved faster. While i couldn't afford to go out and spend $7000 on a Nikon D3s for night time street photography I could afford to go out and spend $65 on an Olympus OM-1 ,…
