IE evilness with innerHTML
I was helping someone customize their breadCrumbTrail and I was trying to replace the first part of the breadcrumb with something different using regular expression matches and replace on the breadCrumbTrail.innerHTML. I got it to work fine on Firefox, but when I tried it on IE, it just wouldn't work. My regular expression… -
Re: Smugmug CSS and HTML Documentation
I'm not sure what info you're looking for besides what you can see in the page in any DOM inspector tool. The body tag will contain either a loggedIn or notLoggedIn class name. On most pages, there is an object with id="breadcrumb" and id="breadCrumbTrail" that indicates pieces of the navigation breadcrumbs. You just need… -
Re: SmugMug Feature Requests

Re: Make Gallery Act as "Single Photo or Video"
You only see all that when logged in, your visitors do not. You can now go into the description and edit the text with the correct info, mostly the Rep info. Add these to CSS. First one hides the un-needed breadcrumb. Second hides the no photo message everywhere. You need it logged in for the control buttons on it. BTW,… -
Re: MJ Photo
I was a bit put off by your homepage because my eyes were drawn to your facebook entry and not to jumping into your galleries. What are you trying to emphasize here? On IE8 (I didn't check on Firefox), your banner image only shows on your homepage. It is missing elsewhere, leaving no trace of the site name. It appears that… -
Re: Can we have better notificatioins of site changes? Please?
An opt-in email list for announcing upcoming site changes is what everyone is asking for. This would be an email that would have gone out on Tue or Wed and would have said something like this: If everything goes according to plan (sometimes these things get delayed), we are anticipating some site changes on Thursday… -
