My "Best Of" from 2009
May as well jump on the bandwagon....:D 2009 was the first year that I had no goals with my photography. Before, I had always set goals to accomplish certain things by years end. For instance, I wanted to have begun using off camera flash by years end 2008 and be set up to use a long telephoto for portraits. I made that… -
Second set of Macros for 2010

Re: 2,000th Dgrinner
Not so quick, for some reason the software is assigning numbers on the same sign up day out of order, by time. I don't know why, but 1/9 ends with 46 total users and the last to sign up is right. It is a slow night so I did some looking at statics and this is what I found. I don't know what the time refers to, the original… -

Re: A dozen from Yosemite
I've been to Yosemite many times, but you've captured in ways I've only dreamed of! All I can say is WOW!!! Love the dogwood pic...so creative and smart of you to shoot it that way. The rest are simply breathtaking...all the sorts of photos i wish i could get but somehow most often fall far short of. Your photos are truly… -
Re: Uploads Failing
I was getting less then dialup uploads, Charter guy checked and replaced drop line but couldn't find anything else. Finally he said they have many problems with the local lines and were way behind getting them fixed. Last few days uploads were running at 200-300bps. Why SF and Smug d/l is so different below is really… -
Re: >>> 2.1 (Moving Forward): Critique/Discussion Thread
Nice work everyone! Thanks for those who commented. Although I agree that not seeing they eyes is a distraction...and I should have chosen a shot that shows the face more...(hard with the hats though)... the "bit flat" is because of the pouring rain storm that was coming down. A very dark sky and pouring rain isn't the… -
Re: WTB: Looking for laptop
Hi, I'm not sure if this is the perfect fit for you, but I am selling a 2004 Mac PowerBook 15" with 1 Ghz processor, 1 Gb RAM (2 x 512mb), 80 Gb HD (HD is only 3 years old), with a nearly-new battery that's less than 1 year old (only 41 charge cycles on it). This is the aluminum model. It's in perfect working order,… -
