What Kids Like...Go Figure
My freshman daughter was in a High School dance concert the other night. All students taking dance are required to participate in the concert as part of their grade. These are beginners to advanced depending on the class. I thought I got some pretty nice images considering that I didn't have a clue what was coming or when.… -

Re: Sensor cleaning
If you're going to go the brush route, I would suggest buying the Sensor Sweep brush from Copperhill for $12, rather than the one from Visible Dust for $107. Although, be aware that the brush probably requires just as much, if not more technique than swabbing. The brush has to be scrupulously clean, and electrostatically… -
Re: 300mm lens shootout
Interesting Charles - the objective lenses diameters are the same - maybe for zoom lenses the objective lens diameter has other variables than just aperature. But for a prime lens, is it not true that the diameter of the front element is the major factor in the maximum f stop since f stops are a ratio of focal length to… -

Re: 640x480 downloads
ppi stands for "pixels per inch". So, if you are trying to calculate pixels per inch, you need to know the pixel count from your image and the inches of the print. For a 8x10 print from your 640x480 image, you'd map the 640 pixels to the 10 inch dimension and get 640/10 = 64 pixels per inch. That's a very low resolution.… -
Re: Which back-up device ?
It's a good suggestion Jim. :D bow And considering that I have already 4Gb+2GB+1Gb (Sandisk Extreme III) + 1Gb (Delkin clearly lower) + 2*256 Mb = 8.5 Gb I could buy for some more cards. For example 2*8 Gb. I would have then 24,5 Gb of cards. That would easily solve the problem. And my old backup device eats about 400 raw… -
