Some beautiful cars
This car is a 1959 BMW 507. They only made 232 of this model car. It was launched at a time when BMW was struggling a bit. Projected at a buyer cost of a little over $5,000, BMW had to raise it's delivery price to over $10,000. Even then, the company lost money on every one of the model 507 sales. This misstep darn near… -

Re: Tufted Titmouse
The birds breast is light grey - when I clock the lightest areas I read ~240,244,246 - Almost nowhere do I clock above 250, So I don't think the detail is truly blown, but it may not be easily visible on all monitors. When I corrected the color by threshold I may have raised the data too high on the chest so I went back to… -
Re: UNCW Hockey
Is your monitor calibrated? The WB looks okay on an my uncalibrated monitor at work, but it really stands out on my calibrated setup at home. I took an eyedropper to two of your images and the RBGs values are a bit off to me with the way I process ice hockey. You're coming in as (251-249-232) and (250-249-239) and you're… -
Re: Text Running Out of the Frame to the Right
As an FYI, I continue to have difficulties with photos extending to the right of the frame. I tried to respond to a post on the current mini (232) today - agreeing with a post in which someone was appreciating a photo. She had quoted the link to the photo and it extended outside the frame in my preview post. So I did not… -
Re: Blowing out myshots in Post but my workflow hasent' changed a bit
I wave the :bs at all of you but Marina! While the last shot had some spots that were almost blown due to direct flash. I found out through Marina's statement that my "what gives?" was too generic and extracting the wrong answers. Here is a scren cap of the PSD, JPEG (save as) and JPEG (save for web & devices). There is an… -

British War Cemetery in Pakistan
Contains 232 burials from WW2 and WW1 of British nationals, it is located at heart of Rawalpindi surrounded with busy streets. This was my 1st ever visit to this graveyard and 1st ever experience of shooting at cemetery. I found it very interesting, though very simple place but i could have spent whole day trying different… -
Are spammers (spam-bots) active on Smugmug right now?
Hi everyone, Something is hitting this page of mine www.streetsofboston.com/gallery/234270_ntcXV/1/46817961_m84Zu for over 2300 times right now, about every other seconds. It used to go to my gallery-page for the picture with id=46817961, which i just have removed (copied the picture and deleted the original). I even made… -
Re: Convert GIF 89 to 87a ???
Looking at the content of a GIF, I see that the "GIF89a" is right in the very first bytes. You might try using a binary editor to change that to look like the earlier version. Or you might write (or pay someone to write) some code to make a utility to make the changes. I don't have a GIF87 to look at so I can only show you…
