    Thank-You, Damon!

I like it Ginette. Cool subject in foreground/subject over there effect.

Thanks Damon: Like I say I love to document the old farms before they are burned to the ground, all gone... I saw the shadow and just clicked it.

    Straw hat and pony tail
There was an art show in a park in downtown Birmingham this weekend. It looked like a good place to take some hat pictures.

Freak, different framing, and this one would be great. Nice hat, face, and slightly blurry, neutral backgorund.

    3731123-S.jpg

And if only you'd been able to get closer to this gent, you'd have had a classic shot.

I snapped this about 20 minutes ago, getting ready to go to a school and talk to kids about some of my experiences. Not really my favorite thing to do, but my Mom roped me into it.

thanks to you and Fish for the comments. I'm learning. the top shot was taken on the fly. I was sitting on the bike and had the camera on the throttle shooting to the right. here's the original.

Liked this one too, and so spent about 15 minutes, making a couple of changes, working from your original posted low res image...
    First removed the date,
    lightened facial area a bit
adjusted to warm the image, first face and then background.

    • Suggestions, Obvious, loose the date, and almost always crop so that the subject is sliding into, rather than falling out of the image.

    Lynn,

You said to go ahead and post so I am. I just adjusted it a little in PS. Trying to get some punch in the photo. This was just a quickie. copied the low res and adjusted. Again I know very little about PS, just throwing in my 2 cents worth.

Here's a better one. And now that I look at it, it's almost the same as AltPro's. Oh well, I had fun, anyway.

The Arabic writing on the MP brassard says "Military Policeman." :-)
