    Great camera thumb.gif
However after putting the 50/f1,4 on it I got some very inconsistent results in terms of AF (my other lenses are f4).
I did some extensive testing (ruled out the lens) and the body is now at Canon for AF adjustment rolleyes1.gif
They said they had 3 bodies in for the same issue the last week... eek7.gif

Candersson, welcome to the Digital Grin. thumb.gif

Good luck with the EF 50mm, f1.4 USM.

I know I don't, but Sandisk extended their rebates. Three 8gb EX IV are $360 from B&H. You get a Visa cash card for $200 as a rebate. That's almost enough for three more.
On a scale of 1 to 10, my awesomeness goes all the way to 11.

Really. I never even looked. I thought it probably had them. Shows how much I use them.

Knowing you, I thought you would have got the optional, limited production, "HIGH KEY MODE" .

Hey this is my first post here. :) I've been stuck on this site for the last few days, reading everything I can.

I just got my 5dII and the 70-200 2.8L (no IS) lens a couple weeks ago. These were some of my first pics I took with it... taken that night at a concert. This camera is quite different from the xt I had originally!! All taken with ISO 6400. (my old camera only went up to 1600 and then was TOTALLY unusable. Laughing.gif)

Oooh let me fix that. I know what happened.

OK... all fixed now, although I acidentally uploaded one at the wrong size. I blame it on being sick for the past 3 days, after dealing with sick kids for the past week. Laughing.gif

Good luck with the new camera and yes, it is quite a step up from the XT/350D.

Thanks Ziggy!! I think I'm going to love playing with it. :) I have to say my fingers still get confused occasionally on where all the buttons are. Quite different. But I definitely like the placement much better... it just still requires thought on my part. Of course I haven't gotten to play like I wanted, just those concert shots (we were way far back too.. I like my lens. ;) ) and a few of my kiddos. But since we've all been sick, none that just were outstanding.

I never used CWB on my xt, but may start, or at least buy and shoot a gray card. I seem to be shooting cool with the 5dII... but again may just be a "haven't played enough" issue.

I can't wait to try out the video. I don't forsee me using it much, except maybe for "the kiss" at a wedding, or something fun and exciting for seniors. Laughing.gif I also haven't pushed the ISO past 6400 yet... soon though.. :)

Yes Nikolai. I love it. I have shot a couple of videos with it and they play fine on the camera but are very jerky when played on my pc or mac. I haven't had time to tinker but I hope I can figure that out.

I really gotta stop poking about in these MkII threads.

I was pretty dead set on picking up a 1D MkIII shortly after PMA, now I'm hosed after I keep peeking at the insane super high ISO stuff coming out of the MkII. :(:
    Christian.

5D2/1D MkII N/40D and a couple bits of glass.
