    You can upload a .gif file for the favicon. It will work in most browsers. IE doesn't like favicons all the time. If you want to use an .ico file, you can upload it somewhere, like Google Pages or something, and link to it in your advanced customization: No. 41 here: http://www.smugmug.com/help/customize-faq.

    You can still add an HTML footer in the custom footer box in your advanced site-wide customization.

    Yeah, I've done both of these things I'm just saying it'd be nice if this could be incorporated in a future update, that's all.

    Great job so far - I really like it!

    Just to confirm Andy, this means we are now allowed to hide the "Powered by Smugmug" completely? Woohoo :-)

    I mean it's no foreign currency support, but this does look very, very cool!

    So guys, ... is there now a easy way for one to remove the SM footer without having to use the new customizer to do it?

    It's rather easy - just go to Easy Customizer, choose Footer, and no SmugMug footer, and publish :D

    We'll make it an option in Advanced Sitewide customizing, also.

    I did that and my homepage is pretty messed up. Is there a way to go back?

    Thanks

    Thanks Andy!
    The reason why I was asking, was that others have reported that when they made those changes to the footer using the Easy Customizer, other things got changed around with their site, which is something that I did not want to deal with.

    Just looking for a overall quick and easier way of doing it, ... that's all.

    Thanks again,
    Michael

    It's not working at all for me. I just choose "No Smugmug footer" and published and that messed my homepage. I brought back the color for the homepage and now the whole site is messed up. My photos have borders, mysterious borders are appearing.

    How do I "undo" this?

    /sigh easy customizer =(
    At first I was like WOW cool! I can see stuff as I change it... SO all I did was change my fonts... and then stuff that I had previously cleaned up appeared again why! headscratch.gif

    That being said I tried the old codes to remove the stuff again - and it's not working for some reason? what did I do wrong....

    First I am trying to remove the feeds at the bottom of the page...

    2nd the home/login}login search box and cart up top on the right.

    Also my fonts are extremely small or is it just me?

    Go to Easy Customizer and choose the "Start Over" button.

    for (i=0; i<imgTags.length; i++) {
    imgTags.title = "";
    imgTags.alt = "";
    }

    }

    tops javascript

    and

    <body onload="delHover();">

    Under bottom javascript

    I want to remove the hovering text again... Its not working tho.

    Is there really no other way to get back to the situation before using the easy customizer?

    All Pages Theme
    I'm giving this a try and wanted to remove all my old code (I saved it to reinstall later), but I'm getting an All Pages Theme I selected may be affecting my customization. What All pages theme? I'm using default theme. Dont' know where all pages is to take it off.

    Your site is using the Black & White theme, not the default.

    armani,

    When you used the "Start Over" feature what previous customizations did you lose? As for that strange message your are seeing, it looks like you may have uncovered a bug. I can't reproduce it but I have a good idea what's happening and a fix is already in progress. By the way, what browser are you using?

    As of right now, this is the only way to remove the easy customizations.

    We'll get these issues ironed out!

    Thanks!

    2 years I've been waiting for this! I was a Smugmugger when I started my photo biz, but quickly found something else without branding on it. When my Pictage membership runs out, I'm definitely coming back to Smugmug now!

    This rocks...and is definitely going to reap major benefits for you guys. So many more folks are going to join now.
