Excellent assignment challenge. it gets to the core of what a photograph is. And some terrific submissions as a result.

Psst. Damonff, are those all images taken since Saturday?

    Lemon
Here's my try at the "bright light" assignment. I'm so new here that I don't even know how to go about submitting my stuff. I clicked on "Reply". Is that what you do? I didn't want all the directions to appear in my reply so I deleted it. Is there a better way?
Anyway -- My picture is of a lemon on a tree in my yard. I took it just before sunset. The light was very bright and very "golden".

Hey Sid, no, but I wanted to start off the challenge with a few before I hit the streets. Am I a fudger? (I like the whisper font.)

No you did just great snapapple, and welcome to the forum. We are a nice bunch but can be critical at times (which is good). Very nice light on your lemon, I was trying for the same thing earlier with a blossom and failed.. nice job.

Someone will say something next week, with the new rules and PRIZES! Those PRIZES will make people pay more attention to the rules. mwink.gif

    The Steeple
I have waited years to just happen to be stuck on the bridge from Charleston, with someone else driving, when I had my camera and the light was like this.
Tonight it happened, I was talking to my daughter, hung up on her, grabbed my camera................... I think it is light.

    The Holy City
This is from further up the bridge, looking back towards Charleston. This used to be a sleepy city/town, it was called The Holy City. On the far left are two church steeples. They used to be all you saw in the skyline. Yes, I worked on the photo, I worked on all of them.

    The Crack Houses
Looking towards the harbor, in the foreground are empty houses. They are often utilized. I want to get down there and take pictures of them, before they are yuppie (ized).

I got some bright light late yesterday. Probably about as bad as you can be with your photographic technique, but I like the effect.

Good. I was packing my bags and preparing to move to China. Now I can stay assured that the sky is not bluer on the other side....
