Bright Light? or Bright Lighting? Today was very hot and sunny with big, billowy clouds... Spent much of the day trying to find scenes that might fit the bill for this assignment... ginette

Gubbs, I think "Shaft" is my favorite! Very nice! Love the interplay of light, and the light beam on the pipe. Very nice indeed! ginette
(PS Had to go into IE to view it, but well worth the effort.... Still odd that it is only your images that are not showing...)

Wow! These are all great, Ginette. I can't believe you can just tool around where you live and see all this. I better get out and look around. San Diego is beautiful, but I can't get out and about until the weekend, then the week's assignment will be over. You have a great eye. Nice work.

Bright Lights at Night Thank you for the kind words...
Honestly, it's a bit more than a little tooling around... But I love doing it, and I love the challenges...
SanDiego- Has many beautiful sights!
Here are my latest efforts... Nights work nicely, too... ginette

This is a beautiful shot. I have no sense at all of it's scale. Is it 10 miles wide or 10 inches?
This is near the entrance to Upper Antelope Canyon - this size is probably about 50 feet in height - thats a guess but reasonably close. Shot at 28mm focal length.

Very nice first photo, beautiful subject matter.
Smallsuggestion?
Make the title smaller, or post it below the photo... When you have such a beautiful photo, it's a shame to distract from it.
I remain, ginette

Going to blow us away, hug. I have an older water photo, actually many, but none better than yours there. Just couldn't get to the beach this time.
I did an an assignment for Shenanigans. You know down from these assignments. I am learning to use layers, and I put a plain gold (yellow, brown, whatever) layer over a picture of some baskets that are an old art form handed down from the days of slavery. (Now there is a tiny visa card with the baskets, might say something for progress)
Anyway, I was looking at that picture, I think it is successful, but I would make it lighter if I were to do it over again. I was staring at it, thinking about how I liked it, and wondering why I liked the effect better than in some of the other photos.
I discovered that it was the way the light was hitting the baskets.
And that is why I am posting it here. It is a picture driven by light, IMO.

Very interesting photo Pathfinder... I really like the captured lighting on the textured plane, and the warm color. Very nice.
