Do we have any spare single inside pages. Even at the back?

We have quite a few inside pages (about 10) before push the price into the next category.

So, Front or back? Front pushes things, unless we take two pages, which might be worth it for , Thumbs, Name, SM URL and page numbers for actual images. Don't have to crowd things, then.

Much easier to insert, and up front would be nicer if not on the back. :D:D

Actually. I'd be willing to give it a go, at this level, but busy with tax time and other issues.

Look, it would be nice to have something for the back cover so it's not white. Same with the flaps. Remember, they won't be there if someone orders the book without the slip cover (maybe we should just stipulate that that's the book.)

I think it would be nice to have one URL, for the forum itself. Too bad that isn't just:

    or similar instead of:

(Richard, can we get a vanity URL? I would think this would be pretty easy, actually.)

Once on the forum, anyone can find the various home pages, no need or need to include in the book.

Maybe the url and one picture is the right thing for the back? If so, maybe I'll dig around and try to choose something I like (maybe something I wish had made it onto someone's list and didn't?)

I would recommend another prime photo from the book itself.

Yeah, I just flipped though and found a couple that I'd like on the back. I think they have to be landscape orientation, so that rules out some good ones. What about this (with the white borders):

    791429410_T5MBG-L.jpg

    Or this (full bleed):

    791429373_qcrLd-L.jpg

I'm sure someone else can do better, these are just simple ideas.

I like the 2nd full bleed idea. The URL could use some subtlety, though.

Richard informed me that it won't be easy to get a vanity URL for this subforum, so I guess I'll drop that idea.

I am open to the idea of an index at the end with photographer's names and corresponding URLs. This could run to a few pages (we have more than 10 before the book price goes up.) But someone else is going to have to collect this information into a single very easy to use form for me. And it has to happen pretty fast, I would guess. Otherwise, I'm just going to wrap this project up, with a few possible changes that have been suggested off-list.

I'd prefer plain text, maybe a tab or comma separating them the name an url.

Looks good (Index aside) but where is the back image attribution?

Like the images on the cover and the one on the copyright page, you have to read the book to find it. Not OK?

OK, I got all the web sites I'm going to get. David Dong doesn't what one listed. I followed Richard's suggestion and left his name in the index without the web site. David if you don't like this let me know and I'll remove your name from the index.

Here is the most recent version, complete with index, back cover, &etc. Still blank flaps, but I'm out of ideas. Maybe I'll use Liz's press pass. Maybe I'll advertise myself. Most likely, I'll just forget the issue unless some else comes up with something nice.

I got back a proof and true to B.D.'s experience the shadows of B&Ws where it matters were over-inked. I'll try to pull these back from the hairy edge a little and see what happens with another proof run. So don't order unless you want to help me proof.

I love the large size! That was really nice in the proof book. Some images that don't look wonderful online looked great in the large book. I've seen Virginia's book which is small landscape, and at least one image is common and it looks better in larger size.

I'm thinking that Travis or some other volunteer can make the smaller book if there is demand (it will be about $40 less expensive.)
