And we have also diagnosed the problem. We had a major new release last night, and inadvertently missed a crucial system setting that reared its head today. We've fixed the problem, and taken steps to ensure that similar future system upgrades won't have this same issue.

Didn't SDLC (system dev lifecycle) noted that vigorous testing needs to be performed before going live?
I think in the past few months, there have been more downtime than usual. The issue has been brought time and again.

Is SmugMug Down Right Now??
I cannot into into www.smugmug.com or my site. However, I can get to DGRIN every other web address I try. Anyone know of an ETA??
Some of my galleries are empty after a week of uploading to them!!!! Has this happened before and will the images return???? This is horrible and killing my business!
Thanks!!! It has me freaking out. It literally took a week to upload many of the galleries. To lose that would mean the end of smugmug for me. Hope you guys get the problem solved soon! Thanks again and good luck!
Also, i was in the middle of a large upload when the site went down. My images are actually still uploading. Will they be fine?

You may need to upload the photos from the current upload again - I'm not sure. Time will tell .

Let's hope that isn't the case. I can't miss my deadline for customers. Things are not looking good for smugmug. I was enjoying the site but, unfortunately, I will be forced to find a more reliable service if these kind of problems continue to show themselves as routine. It's unacceptable and I am sorry to have to even say that.

the problem is intermittent on smugmug.com page.
Do I get a cookie for reporting it before the status shows up on http://status.blogs.smugmug.com/ ???
I was just testing the new publish feature in LR3, thought that may have been it. Best of luck in finding the culprit!

Maybe the Smugmug status page needs to show the correct date I am thinking to myself.

If I cut him some slack, will he return the favour and give us a couple of months with no down time?
