Z_28 you have an amazing plethora of cool car shots. That bug is classic, both the shot and the car! (love that you captured the look on the drivers face)
Ken, I took the shot at an antique car show a few years ago and the owner told me the name, but I can't remember now. I'll ask the guy who put on the show -- he's my machanic. I'll also ask my son who's an expert on such things and get back to you. Harvey

Nick Z28 oblige me to love all interesting cars.
Anyway VW shot is one of my favorites.
Driver spotted me with camera in hands right at this moment,
he wasn't extremely happy

A DeTomaso Pantera. Wow, I haven't seen one of those for many years. When I was a kid my favorie "Dinky Toy" (does anone remember those? Perhaps it was an English and Canadian thing) was a DeTomaso Mangusta. That wasn't yesterday. Seriously though, there was a Pantera in Cape Breton for a while 20 years ago, I got a ride in it once. I haven't seen one since. I didn't remember the logo at all.
Next question Harvey, what is this? Some kind of fox?
I shot the image at the National Zoo in Washington, DC a few years ago. Now the red panda is behind a mesh fence and so it's hard to get a decent shot of it.
I knew, of course, that trees and plants had roots, stems, bark, branches and foliage that reached up toward the light. But I was coming to realize that the real magician was light itself.

I actually went WAY out of my way to visit this church. It is a 10 hour drive from me but I had to go. It's in one of the poorest, most financially troubled towns in the midwest but it's such a sad history. I love abandoned buildings and every building/town has its own flavor. I'd never to this day been anwyhere that was quite like that.
It's not the grandest or most beautiful abandoned church I've visited, but it's got the most character. Which is funny considering it was so modest.
A young man who was fairly well-known in the underground scene is immortalized in the building. He died at the age of 24 and this was one of his favorite spots. Friends and admirers of his still come by and leave photographs of him and flowers for him, anchored under broken bricks in every hidden spot. Particularly in the chapel.
Unfortunately I started my weblog after I visited this place. And this church was the one location that inspired me to start one. I should take care of that at some point because so much happened that day in that one little building.
Thanks for asking! I have several more shots of it in this gallery, but even I have to say that after a while it all starts to blend together.

My son informs me that the specific model is a De Tomaso Pantera. He says this one is highly modified. Harvey

It's a Red Panda. It is not a bear like the Giant Panda. The Wikipedia entry gives a lot of details: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Red_Panda

It's not every day you get to take a photo of a huge church (after a fire?) with holes in the roof.
