I had to smile - looks like we found exactly the same place... the only difference being that we had a tour guide that dragged us out of bed at 6am (in December!) so that we could make the first tour. It was fabulously interesting.

I think I was a few steps up higher and to the left, but yes indeed, your shot was worth getting up early for! I had to hold the camera up over my head. It was very crowded. Also, we had taken a taxi who drove us around and showed us things, then he dropped us off at the top of the hill and met us at the bottom 2.5 hours later.

Denise, this is so peaceful and lovely, I just let out a sigh as I saw it. I can feel the sun on my back and the wind on my cheek.
Thank you Sara!
This is a part of the refuge that is normally closed to humans. It is usually open for just a week as part of National Wildlife Refuge Week. I always try to take that open opportunity to walk there.
I just posted in the shape color, texture and pattern challenge thread, and designated the next to be "shape of a yellow circle" It occurs to me that I am straying from the intent of the challenge, by putting in both colour and shape. If I am off, please let me know and I will edit the post.
Btw, I like the much higher activity in these challenge and theme fora now that everybody is confined in their own house. I think that's great for more than one reason
I think you forgot to look at the posts on the next page, but it might be a rodent sticking out it's nose from under the rusty metal, so if that's the case serendipity made it a valid entry

I could have sworn I looked for other pages. Didn't see any. Well, it all did work out in the end didn't it!? Funny how it did!

The alphabet game challenge is in alphabetical order. You have posted F following an entry for P - the entry should be for Q.

Yes, that was dear Lulu, my sister's cat who is sadly no longer with us. She was quite something..

Very nice! How did you shoot that one, must be a plane-to-plane shot even though It almost looks like the screen capture of a flight simulator.

Pieter, I had to figure out something for the letter Z
All I had left on my PC was the Z for Zebras!
Nikon gear & some lenses.
Yes, some letters are more difficult than others. But it looks very well done, especially the ground detail looks quite realistic (and Zimbabwian)

Isn't there too much "subject" in this request?
My SmugMug
I would agree, this seems like a "thing" to me.
@JAG, what do you think?
Musings & ramblings at https://denisegoldberg.blogspot.com
I agree. @Wandering Dane I will change it to be either as a shape of a cigar, or car, that would be easier for people to come up with something.

it's been several days, might be time to rethink the next subject?
