    Haha, funny stuff.

    Watched a whole hour at:

I knew, of course, that trees and plants had roots, stems, bark, branches and foliage that reached up toward the light. But I was coming to realize that the real magician was light itself.

    I just got a car!
    Thanks dad!

Well I finally got another e30. 1989 325ix for only $2649.99, which is about half of KBB value. 149kmi, white 4 door. An identical twin to my friend Tim's car. If I feel ambitious enough I'll do the 5spd swap since i still have the parts from my last car.

It either looks lowered or it is in really bad need of some new shocks.

I hafta say, I hate white cars. They're for old people and chicks. I mean, come on, its not even a color, it's white, bare, nothing!

Maybe we should change your username to Snow White?

Big deal. Some companies (BMW) are pumping out over 100bhp per liter, and thats naturally aspirated.

Hey, white's cool. Ask any iBook owner. Or iPod owner. Maybe a small white car could be marked as an iMini :D

(when it comes to cars, though, I'm partial to silver.)

There's another really deep color - silver, the color of unpainted metal. I've definitely noticed this trend, take a drive and really look at the cars... not much for real color these days. If it's not silver or white, it's beige or light green or blue. Blah.

    Good choice.

And you know I'm just bustin' on you. I too know the virtues of silver in the real world, the far and away easiest color to keep looking clean and the best at hiding small dents and swirl marks. My truck was silver.

Oh fine, you're right, I'm looking forward to getting one, and have been scouring VWvortex.com forums to find out how long its taking.

I haven't seen that photo, but that one sure looks goofier than the evil ones in the commercials. I'm not sure that's what they really look like. Believe it or not, there's a heated discussion over whether its an enraged rabbit (many doctored up versions exist), harking back to the Rabbit GTI lineage, or if it is in fact completely different, some little demonic inner fast. One guy went as far as saying its satanic undertones offended him.

I spend way too much time on forums. rolleyes1.gif

oh yea, I understand. My 240sx was silver, my Saab was silver, my current truck is silver. Between teh Saab and the truck, I was stuck with a red/maroon Camrey and HATED it (both the color and the car).

Grumpy aren't we? you want a disclaimer next time too?

Now I have a contribution as well. Elsewhere, I was just discussing how I'm sad that the Honda Civic SI (direct GTI competitor) isn't a hatchback anymore. Well, at least not in the states:

    http://www.honda.co.uk/civic/

It's not an SI, from what I can tell, but I was pretty surprised to see a completely different Civic in the Euro market. Pretty neat design if you ask me. Maybe a little too poofy for you guys though.

James: skip the intro, you may be angered by having to wait!
