Any ideas on why this wonderful piece of code stopped working?

This seems to be the ultimate solution until Smugmug implements this functionality.

However, it does not work for me. I pasted the latest code and gave it a try. All it does when I click the "bzt" box is that it loads a crop preferences box on the left but nothing else happens.

Anyone any hints of whether the latest version still works with the current SmugMug version ? Is this code still maintained ?

    Here's my site: markusbrosch.smugmug.com
The smallest gallery with only 1 image for testing is at: markusbrosch.smugmug.com/gallery/4946894_pVb8i#295913126_8Bu4m

I hope someone can help :)
    Best regards,
    Markus

any update? I know... numerous wonderful features are being worked on and released... but I really need this one.... I know it's a hack and is supported only when time allows.... so with that out of the way... any update?

Last night I noticed an option in the Photo Tools drop down, "Adjust Thumbnails". I clicked it and in there you can set your thumbnails to be square or standard...quess what Square does? Makes nice square thumbs clap.gif

You can't select the visible area, but it is a step closer.

Will hold me over for now I think...

That's always been there... just renamed recently... :( One at a time is too slow when you have 300 to do...

How come it only shows up if I'm in SmugMug style??? In all thumbs (my view of choice) I only get the one lonely thumb to adjust.
Also, I can not move the thumb zoom to the portion of the pic I want to see.... I see this as not too good...
Oh ya... is all-thumbs going to look like this with the "blow up" feature when you hove the "?" on the thumb?

I hope this great code gets fixed soon.
Better yet, an adjustable bulk thumb tool would be even better. The standard one is way too slow through Smugmug.

Any update on fixing bzt? If it's not going to be fixed for a while, I'd at least like to know that. Help!

I looked at problem over the weekend. I know where problem is occurring but at this point I'm not sure why or how to fix it. I will look again when I get a chance.

I just installed the updated code and BZT is working for me again. Kind of... In Smugmug view the photos at the top of the page are partially hidden behind the large photo on the right. Any suggestions?

Is the Bulk Zoom Thumbnail code even needed? Now, out of the box, SmugMug automatically squares up the thumbnails (per settings in Customize Gallery). Unless, of course, it is needed to frame the thumbnail. I ask because I'm looking to cleanup code in my customization.

    Thanks.

I use it so that I can adjust what the user sees in the thumb view... SM crops to the center which is fine for landscape orientation, but not so good for portrait.

You can individually do each thumb after applying bulk square. It's under
photo tools. Almost all portraits probably need the square moved up. The
default is in the center and wish they would apply about 85% up on all
    thumbs.

15% can add up to a lot of pics when you're shooting over a 10 day trip...

No, meant that the square should be position about 15% from the top of original thumb. That
would include most heads in a portraits.:D
