I'm having the problem that the 'Processing' thing pops up and doesn't go away. When I check the gallery in another window, though, all is good. The thumbs have been created - and quite quickly.

They are aware of the issue, but as it is an unsupported hack, there is no timeframe within which it can be expected to be fixed.

I did notice that even though it hangs up, it still works.
I just leave the window open for 30 minutes or so while I am doing something else on the computer. When I come back, I hit the back button on that window and they are all sized.

    KOOKY!

    BZT broken
Whatever changes to the crop thumbnail was made last night broke the Bulk
Zoom thumbnail hack completely. After setting all thumbs to 1x1 and adjusting, clicking
save returns to gallery without the changes. Preforming this on a Smugmug
gallery single page and in the past I just waited about a minute and hit refresh
and thumbs would be changed. Now there is no way except doing each photo
    one at a time.

We'll see what might be able to be done. This is not a bug in SmugMug, it's a bug for the BZT Hack. Dev's on vacation but he'll look. Thanks for your patience.

(Was this originally posted to the Bug Reporting Thread and you moved it out of there Andy? That's a switch. I saw it because I'm subscribed to the Bug Reporting Thread, but then it wasn't there by the time I checked it.)

Anyways, have I mentioned before how while it's great that SmugMug has such an awesome bunch of hackers (including Dev, who's now employed by them), but how *INSANELY* brittle many of these hacks are?

With the huge user base, it's impossible to test every possible site when they make a change. God forbid they remove a <div> or two that one of the numerous home page hacks rely on.

what would be best is if SM would make THEIR bulk thumbnail adjustment work like the hack. While I like the SM version, it only works for me IF I want the center of the pic in the "box." I don't always want this and I wish the SM version would allow for the adjustment as the hack does...

It was in the bug thread but it belongs here, as the bzt is a hack.

Man, this is so frustrating. My entire website has square thumbs. Now I have to adjust each thumb one by one!
Come on Smuggy, add a bulk feature to your adjustments.ne_nau.gif

Bulk Zoom Square Thumbs Not working (and was working!)
    www.lovethecamera.com

    Hi there

I have been trying to re BZT and square up my thumbs after adding some more pics to a few galleries and i do not seem to be having any luck. I have set the gallery to Trad, wait for all to load up, select the 1x1 and save, it then rather more quickly than before processes and nothing has changed.

Any ideas? All a bit odd as it used to work perfectly!

    Cheers now

How do you adust thumbnails one at a time?
Given it would appear that we will have to wait and see on what the SM dev is on thumbnails, i note that some of you adjust the zoom/crop on photo thumnails individually. BUT how???

    Thanks

David bring up the photo you want to resize go to the tools menu and select more (from the first group of choices) then crop thumbnail. From there you can pick the ration and click save.

True, but inadequate. Still not able to adjust the 'location' of the crop. For me, this is pretty useless as a large percentage of my photos are off center. Who would've thought the rule of thirds would have been inconvenient!

    BZT to be fixed?
    Hi Andy and the guys

Before I put too much effort doing the cropping pic by pic, can you clarify how long it will be before the tool will be available and working again and if I should remove the code for the BZT that I have put into my SWC boxes as it does not do anything now.

    Cheers now

    Andy,

Can you confirm or deny the existence of plans that may or may not include having this hacks functionality built into SmugMug?
