    Album Covers
How about album covers? Back when I was a lad, before CDs and downloading, album art was a big deal. You could take your favorite and redo it or just pick a song or album name.

Makes an interesting topic. Also make the rules strickter. I can park a vintage car and click it with the shadow, but that does not make shadow the primary subject.
However lets say sprinklers in the trees. Due to sun angle the trees cast shadoes on the sprinklers. This would make shadow the primary subject.

I like the idea of shadows, too. In fact I was thinking of this one a couple of days ago. It can be interpreted in many ways. I don't agree with setting up stricter rules...it's all about personal interpretation. Look at the "Blur" contest that just closed. There were nearly 80 entries and what an incredible variety!!! I was very impressed.

    My Favorite
I always like contrast, I love the way they go together. Maybe we could do a challenge on that. One would go for the best example of contrast in as many ways possible in the best photo possible.....you know, all the usual rules and regs. I think that would leave alot open for us photogs to work with and create come wonderful results. Just my .02

    My idea was chosen!!
I was excited to see that my idea of contrast (and I am sure many others) was chosen for challenge number 70. I am very excited to see what folks come up with for this. I have no doubt that there will be some exceptional submissions for this one. I cant wait. Mike

I know this photography here on the site but why not do something along the lines of "Digital Art" where all the source images must be photographs and must look along the lines of a photograph at the end of it. In other words not so much manipulation that it no longer looks like a photo but some sort of collage. I really like things similar to the images found on worth1000.com. Maybe something like that. It would really stretch photoshop and creative skills. Just a thought. Throw ideas out there and see if the sink or swim.

    Irony
How about "Irony"? Could stimulate some interesting photos. I had an old shot of a seagull sitting right next to one of the plastic owls that's supposed to keep them away that was a good example. Another example could be a picture of a HUMMER with a Sierra Club bumpersticker.

How about the opposite. No photoshop or cropping only?

I.E. A photo of someone taking a photo, or some framed photos on the wall...

sorry if this is a repeat..
there were just too many posts to read thru all of them.. apologies if this is a repeat. I was sitting in church this morning and thought of a challenge...sacred spaces. This could mean the religious type or any place a person finds solace... Dizzy

    Every picture tells a story...

But, how good a story? Emphasis on the quality of the narrative aspect of the picture, title, and caption.

I love this idea. Would be challenging.

    How about living space?

Such as your kitchen, or bedroom, back porch... something along those lines.

I think it could be very interesting to see the results.

    That would be very interesting.

This is my very first post but I just had to say that I love the idea of sacred places and I think you could get some really great shots from that, the likes of which you might not be expecting...

    Cheers!!
