Andy, you and the mods do a great job...I have no complaints there! I expect noobs (like myself) to be over-zealous. The posters I'm referring to are not noobs... they are long time members, in some cases. However, I've come up with a solution. I am just instant messaging my newly posted "lost" thread to my many fans so they can find it! rolleyes1.gif Sorry to be a PITA!

I wrote to one non-noob poster poster in the wildlife forum who had done that and he agreed to cease. This is one of my pet peeves. If you see it again PM me and I will join the mutiple posts into one thread.

I really have no business commenting on stuff like this, but I find using firefox's tabbed browsing to browse forums a godsend.

I can go into any main forum and then middle click all the new post, which will open them all up in their own tab. Then just go through one by one and read them, closing each tab when I get done with the post.

You still have to look at each individual post, but its a lot faster than clicking out of the post and into a new one over and over again.

There isn't that option in Internet Explorer, I don't know if theres the option in any of the internet browser programs on the mac. But if you're running windows, I'd highly suggest checking it out.
bored? check out my photo site...and if you have the time, leave a comment or rate some pictures while you're there.

I will definitely check this out. I have firefox downloaded, but just have been too overwhelmed to find the time to figure out all the bells and whistles. I'm over my head learning to use a camera. :D

    can someone move/shadow a thread?
Oops didn't see this thread before and i sent this PM to Andy... sorry :uhoh

My thread has gone unanswered for about a month and now I'm just talking to myself trying to keep it alive with bumps...

I guess I realize now that my question wasn't so much one of customization, but rather a feature request probably so that's my guess why it has so many views and no replies :(

Could someone please move/shadow my thread into a more appropriate section? SmugMug Support? Feature Requests?

    I'd really appreciate it! thumb.gif

    Thanks.

Sure you can do that yourself, just copy paste into a reply in the Feature requests thread, thanks!

Feel free to pm me if you need help with anything. Firefox makes browsing very easy and I'd be more than happy to share my secrets with you.

    Self empowerment? How rad!! rolleyes1.gif

I would have already done that, but double posting is frowned upon in most other forums, even if it is an issue of a mis-threaded post.

So I figured I should at least ask since this thread exists for such purposes.

    Thanks though.

Maybe this post can be moved over to customization?

Also, this thread and this thread are the same, maybe the first one, without the replies can be removed?

    Thanks

maybe there could be a 'feature' that sends a copy of the 1st post for any new user to a set of moderators, on the assumption that spam like this is a register,send-one-messge,never-return sort of thing.
