I call this my "Tie-Dye Bandito" look. This is how you work in the desert when the wind is blowing 50mph.
And this is my "I just spent ten hours working in 50mph desert winds, and now I'm in a Motel 6 in Barstow" look. I left the toilet in (the crapper uncropped?) for that proper ambience.
Cheers!

Here I am
Hey everyone.....I just joined yesterday so I figured this is a good thread to start off with. Feel free to check out my gallery's and let me know what you think.
I just found this thread
And in honor and testing of my newly purchased radio slaves, I decided to do a self-portrait. I really hate pictures of myself, but I did not utterly loathe this one. Occasionally while I am photographing a wedding people ask to take MY picture, I'm really glad they never share them with me. When it is with the table disposables I feel really bad for the B&G that one of their 'guests' decided to waste film on me.

Ok, that's a nice thread, I always like to put a face on a name. Here is about the only self portait of me I ever did. I'll work on something better, but this is me as viewed by me, my lens, and a mirror at the top of a shopping mall in Stuttgart, Germany.
De-lurking
I've enjoyed reading the posts and looking at the marvellous pictures here for the past few weeks, and decided that I should out myself. I'm a writer and editor, with photography as one of many hobbies. Finding that taking a self-portrait was a big more difficult than I thought! Here's a first effort, with the old arms-length method:

I found just how much she likes photogrphy too.
Since I am posting shots that she took, I'll post one of her too, maybe someday we can de-lurk her.
