    Gus,
There's only twelve of the little ones in each bag. That might just be a sorta first aid kit or bandaid for the real "cherry ripe" NEED......one every couple of hours will only just keep the craving under control.
Well, at least you won't get the shakes!!

Anyone got a room at the Wawona Thursday night that might be looking for a roommate?
Hi David, I won't be there Thursday nite so can't help. We can talk though if you need something Friday or Saturday?

I know the official kick-off is at 2pm Friday, but for those going Thursday evening is there any plan to meet anywhere sooner? Depending on the weather I may leave Fresno early Friday morning and could be in the valley by 7-8am. If it's overcast/rainy, I'll probably just sleep in and come up around noon to get checked in the hotel.

Oh, and cellphone reception in the actual valley is like non-existant! So don't plan on meeting up by calling one another. You *may* get lucky, but I wouldn't recommend that you actually depend on it.

Maybe as a fallback, we could pick a couple of places and times in advance? For example, the parking lot at the chapel may be good spot. It's pretty centrally located and small enough you'll be able to find one another, but seldom full until late morning - if then.

The lower-tunnel parking is also a pretty good spot. Assuming the weather's good and I go up early enough, there's a shot I want to get of Cascade Falls from the Upper-Tunnel area around mid-morning.

    Thoughts? ne_nau.gif

Rain is in the forecast :-(
    Echoing Jeff's input.

Looks like the paper predicts showers, from Wednesday through Friday (only a 5 day forecast, so I don't know about Sat and Sun ne_nau.gif ). The forecast is for the Bay Area, but looks like Yosemite will get some rain too.

For me this means getting some hiking boots so that I won't have to slosh around in wet tennis shoes rolleyes1.gif

Anyhow, just thought I give everyone a heads up

Not to worry. On the way to the valley, turn right at the Glacier Point Road.
There could be some there :D

    Bears and pepper spray
The Forest Service has issued a BEAR WARNING in the national forests for this summer. They're urging everyone to protect themselves by wearing bells and carrying pepper spray.

Campers should be alert for signs of fresh bear activity, and they should be able to tell the difference between Black Bear dung and Grizzy Bear dung.

Black Bear dung is rather small and round. Sometimes you can see fruit seeds and/or squirrel fur in it.

Grizzly Bear dung has bells in it, and smells like pepper spray! rolleyes1.gif
