Southern Texas for me is San Antonio - almost as south as Big Bend, other side of the state

I like San Antonio... except for the fact that they do not allow photo taking in the Alamo...
We spend New Years Eve Spirit and I walking around as we were camping in Luling (great BBQ... "The City Market"). Not too good photos, but I liked the last ones...
Hi all - I'll throw in a few of my favorites, and welcome any comments. These are of Spokane, Washington - the other side of the state. I hope you enjoy looking at them as much as I enjoy taking them.

It's an obelisk. From time to time throughout the universe, it shows up and is believed to influence the evolution of life in a transformative way. Or, if you don't believe that, it is a saguaro cactus

Hi Torags
That is a nice photo (my only rainbow shot) but That powerline running through the top lefthand corner kills the picture. If you have photoshop you should cover the powerline up buy using cloneing. other than that it is a nice photo. jovitta

PS
I would have averted the line if I had my wits about me, but I was on the way up from Moab towards Salt Lake, failed to fill my bike at Green River & was running out of gas on a freeway - middle of a National Park with virtually no services. I had about 20 miles to my tank radius. The turnoff sign said 15 miles to a town I was never to and it was getting dark and beginning to rain.
All the way to the town (where I did get gas) I cursed myself for stopping to take a pic. The grocery store with two pumps (the only in town) was closing in 15 min.

Thank you very much. But at some point I fear my head will explode.
I have Lightroom (photoshop lite?) and I'm learning some of the functions. I don't know a lot, but I know I prefer Lightroom over NX. Whatever IQ benefits NX2 may or may not have, I don't like it's workflow.
I take a lot of shots at sports events (800-1000) so workflow as well as capture value takes importance over IQ, . Modest IQ and a great capture wins for me.
Landscape photogs hold IQ to higher importance, it seems to me.
I'll just plug along and bumble into the knowledge.
