Figures in the sunset
This is a shot I took in Cornwall last summer, cropped as the figures were distant, and i only had the standard zoom on the camera
I was impressed by how small the people seemed against the enormous sunset
Camera Nikon D60 with standard 18-55 Zoom ASA 100 1/60 sec @f5.6
Nikon D60 with 18-55 Nikon standard lens also 55-200 Nikon Zoom

Another Olmstead Point @ sunset view
The view at Olmstead Point, during-mid-day light, can be boring (just granite glaring in the sun). But once in a while, the sky cooperates to provide amazing lighting, texture, and detail. I've been fortunate to be there a couple of times and have seen pictures from others that have also had great timing. If you're in the area, it's well worth taking a look especially if there are clouds lurking…
Here are a few where the sky features predominantly:-
Really enjoying this thread, great idea and some fantastic contributions.

Holy Cow! these are simply mindblowing! You, dear sir, have skill. I know they are all HDR, but this is some of the best HDR I've ever seen, and it is only just over the border of believable. The vibrancy of the colors and clarity of the sky (how do you do multiple exposures without the clouds moving on you?) is superb.
