Well, since I finnaly had a chance at a few dog shots I better post them, the weather wasn't good, in fact the lens kept fogging over before I could shot.
This guy (red) was happy to pose
But this one (Drew) kept hiding from the camera
But after a little while just resorted to just sulking in the grass
This gal (Summer) didn't want any part of photography and kept running away when she saw the cam.
How did the Dog-sitting go?
This is my girl Piper at lure-coursing - it's not a competetive dog-sport, they chase a lure tied to a wire that goes through pulleys in a zig-zag course over about an acre. The controller is like a model railway set - the lure can be set faster or slower or put into reverse to suit the dog that is running. Good for action shots of dogs cornering, and for proving to me that I haven't got focussing the D70 pinned down yet.
Lousy (harsh) light today when I was at the offleash with BTWD. I always call this his "Top Gun" look ... pull in the wings (ears!) and go fast. Not quite as fast as he used to be, but does pretty darn good for a 12 year old ...
P.S. For those of you in need of another dog book for your collection, I bought a short little book in Austin last week called "97 Ways to a Dog Smile" that made me laugh!
The boys got some much needed playtime this morning before my daily trek to teh city to visit my poor wife who is bouncing off teh walls in a hospital bed on bedrest before she gives birth.. Can you tell Charlie misses her?

don't ya just love doggies?? this is a great thread..
Now this was my first ever pic posted on this site and I hope you don't mind the repost but Its obviously fitting to the thread. The dog is called Bruno and belongs to J's parents.
Maybe there are some new photos out there that are just waiting to be posted. Here is a picture of our new dog Gilligan. We got him Dec 26 at about 7 weeks of age. I can't believe how much he has grown in 3 weeks!
Getting a puppy to pose for a picture is really hard! When I look at puppy calendars, I now look at them with great respect!
Gilligan is a handful to say the least and our other dog Buddy has finally warmed up to him. Last night while watching a movie with friends, I noticed that Buddy and Gilliigan were sleeping together for the very first time. Barely got my camera in time and fired off one shot before they woke up to see what dad was doing ...
