Thanks, and Yup I took this one the other day but it was not moving then.(I did not want to break any rules and run Afoul of his Fishness.)
I entered it in a online picture contest on another site I titled it The Alien. Same airplane just different time of day and view.

Here's your photo assignment for this week: Transportation in motion.
Photos must be fresh - taken this week, not stuff you've got hanging around on your computer.
Transportation in motion means the primary focal point of your image should be depicting some form of transportation in motion, as opposed to stationary (no parked bikes, etc).
Have at it.
Note: The moderator team agreed to have the assignments last for an entire week, rather than a weekend to give people more chances to get out and shoot.
I'm very unhappy with this but I have nothing else...maybe later this week..nothin moves around here.. I made hubby get convertable out but could'nt get motion I wanted...
This has turned out to be a pretty tough assignment. I went out again trying to hit it and got a few, but ended up with a photo essay. I'll post the essay a little later.
One of the shots:
I dunno why there are jaggies on the top of the plane...they exist in the original.

Well, I have been house bound so this is not fresh, but I thought perhaps this is an interesting take on the assignment - a double entendre so to speak.

The title hits the nail right on the head....it remembered me about a book I "read" and still have it at home... It's elustrutions of the "War of the Worlds" by..... by the guy who also did covers for the group Azia, and others...
(I am bad with names..:)
Maybe I'll post one of his drawings in comparison to your pict.... later
OK, so it was shot a in January. Sorry, the snow is gone here now and this was one of my best in motion shots of the year. I did retouch this just now. I'll work on some fresh stuff for the assignment as well..
Another submission
Go directly to jail, do not pass "go", do not collect $200.

I'm going to submit my own interpretation of "transportation".
Bees, their transportation method is by wing, and in this shot we see one that has just loaded up on water from our pond. I can't believe I got her just as she began to take wing!
(Bees and other bugs on-the-wing are definitely difficult to get nailed down.) I have other shots, but am doing some major kernel recompilation these past couple of days, and haven't got photo-editing programs I like working with in the Windows environment. I want to despeckle this pic a bit, and hopefully I haven't lost too much detail with the compression ratios here. I'm trying the free d/l of ImageForge, and plan on d/l'ing IrfanView in future.
In any event, the assignment wasn't limited to human transportation only, so..

I was running to catch the bus across the street from my apartment and I saw this lady with her delivery! I've never seen anything like it!
