Re: Pollen Waterfalls
Yeah, the only thing I don't like about it, so far, is the huge difference in price between the Personal and Professional licenses. It's $89 USD for a Personal license, but $289 USD for a Professional license. I think it's kind of lame. There are no extra features (as far as I know) in the Pro edition, and how could they… -
Re: stickyfilters anyone? (flash gels)
It depends on what your starting flash correlated color temperature is. If your flash is 5000K, then a -78 MIRED shift will shift it to about 8200K, adding 3200K. If your flash is 6000K, then it will shift it to about 11200K, adding 5200K. I've measured my Canon 550EX using a spectraphotometer and it comes in at around… -
Car pictures compilation *lots of pics*
Hi guys, This is my first post here so might as well introduce myself :) Name is Will, been into photography for a while, but just got a chance to own decent camera gear early this year (D80 w/ 17-55, I was using 3.3MP Nikon Coolpix before). I still have lots of stuff to learn, so please bear with me. I am a car guy, so… -
Re: Broken
What's up? I find that when new to a forum...when you have 89 people viewing and not commenting..even the moderator...hmmm.. doesn't make one wish to stick around. I enjoy commenting on other's images and would have hoped for the same consideration. This image may not be pretty and is certainly of an abstract style but I… -
Re: Watermarks:
Hi Helvegr, Many thanks for your suggestion too and for providing the link to Digimark, something else I'll be looking into today! As I just wrote to Ace: I liked this suggestion of yours so much that I decided to share it with others on Denise's related thread (http://www.dgrin.com/showthread.php?...89#post1780689), hope… -

FS: 67MM Expodisc
I have a 67MM Portrait (Warm) Expodisc for sale. It was purchased one year ago at Adorama. The new price is currently $89 at Adorama. I am asking $60 which includes shipping (US only) and Paypal fees. This does include a case and lanyard. It does have one small scratch on it which you can see in these pictures just above… -
Re: Playing around...
Aw, heck, I like BOTH shots! Having worked with Photoshop in one form or other since '89 or so, I really appreciate it as a creative tool. While the original was awesome, it's still fun to experiment! Sometimes I like to give a client a choice of both original and PS-enhanced photos as an option, which only increases our… -
Re: Leaving Reno for the PNW.
I know that up 395 into Lakeview there can be beautiful fall colors-- especially in the Lakeview cemetery-- this time so year. So you should find lots of colors up Hwy 89 (K-falls?) this time of year. There are lighthouse up and down the coast. Tillamook Rock is pretty cool, but that's way north. Heceda head is nice and so… -
Re: More money, more lenses?
Right now at Amazon, the 100 is $69 and the 200 is $89. So I was a little off. The prices do fluctuate a little bit though. I originally purchased the 100, but with just the 40D + grip + 70-300 non-IS + 28-135 IS - i couldn't fit everything in. Apparently it is made for the XT/XTi size cameras, not the XXD size ones. So, I…
