Re: it's a jeep thing....do you understand?
Kevin wasn't the only one to give this rock a shot. My top just kissed the tree. Despite having broken a window on the tree before, we talking him into doing it again. He made it....but the tree brushed the dust off the rear side window. After that we decided to actually do a trail....fun for everyone. We followed the… -
Re: C-h-e-e-r-s
David, you are the second person that said, "it's not a studio shot" in 3, 4 days. Yes, we know that. This is why street photography / PJ is the most challenging "genre" (if one can call it that) to get a great shot. This is a good shot, and if you said, "yup, there's absolutely no way I can take another shot because..."… -
Challenge 84 - Disclaimer Required?
I'm a little worried where this one could go. Is there a rating that is suggested for this challenge? I think that all of the challenge entries prior to this challenge have been PG (Can't Remember any PG-13). But if it is open to any and all photographs of the human body, do we need to put a disclaimer on the thread to… -
DSS 84 Exploring Orton
I could do this all day. When you go out to shoot with a particular processing in mind, it does change the way you look at the world. In particular, I like that it gives the opportunity to make even ugly things beautiful. I've included a few different approaches and would like to hear feedback not only on the images, but… -
7D burst mode counter
Am I missing a setting or is there something wrong with my 7D. My "shots left" in burst mode display in the view finder only shows 4 in P, AV, TV, and B modes yet in all other modes it shows varying amounts up to 87 or so. It isn't the CF card as it is a SanDisc Extreme, 60Mbs UDMA card. In high speed continuous it takes 4… -
Panoramas of coastal Oregon
I've recently been working with PTGUI to take panoramas of the Oregon Coast and surrounding area. Here are some: Norton Gulch - Cape Arago Fishing boats in the boat basin at Charleston, OR. I chose a mapping that reduced distortion of the foreground boat. Cabbage Patch at the SSNERR outside of Charleston. There are a lot… -
Re: Come out and play with us Gaylenick
Hey Harry, I am just now getting a chance to post! I had a wonderful time yesterday I have to say it has taken me all day to recoup! a total of 6 hours of driving, 6 hours of straight shooting in @ 84 degree sunny beautiful weather, finishing up with a wonderful Italian dinner..whew! I was dead!...But well worth every… -
Re: >> dgrin challenge 47, self-portraits <<
Red, White and Blue I was reluctant to enter until I passed this mirror on the back of a pickup truck on my morning walk last Wednesday morning. This is the way my neighbors see me since I walk around with earphones on my head and camera in my hand. Some EXIF stuff: File Name: Red, White and Blue Date/Time: 9/14/2005… -
Re: Homepage Slide Show Malfunction
Haven't done anything to fix the problem. I see that it's working now. Just a quirk. It was acting up all last night in different ways. I'm now editing this reply. I'm creating another album and uploading exactly as I did with the one you viewed on my home page. Every single upload is failing. These are small 5 to 9 mb… -
Re: Dance Studio pictures
Proofs for every parent or a set of proofs in a book for them to look through and mark the ones they like? That could be an option. but 12 images per page, and I estimate a thousand images after the two weeks of classes, that would be about 84 pages. which would be about 11 pages per class on average. makes me wish I had a…
