WTT: I would like a 1D body have a few options here.
Ok... I'm looking to get a 1D body. I have a couple of options to present. I want the 1D for it's 8 fps and 1 series AF, so please don't message me for trades unless you have a 1D to deal. I'm a longtime poster at the POTN forum site (forkball) with good seller rating and on ebay I'm forkball68 also with a 100% rating.… -

Another Calibration Thread
Hi, I came across here after looking for places talking about calibration; seems to be more real advice here than anywhere else I have found. I have a Samsung 305T, a Dell 3007WFP, a Spyder2Pro and a desired to get the two looking as close to each other as possible. The Sammy has amazing colour and is my preferred monitor,… -

Re: Should the ppi be changed prior to uploading?
Why even pay attention to dpi? I know there are different opinions on this subject, but I NEVER change PPI for any images and I'm a bit surprised that so many people think it's important to actually change that value. On the image itself, this number is a made up value and has no meaning by itself. The camera puts the… -
Re: Canon are you reading this?
Well, it's true what was said before, video exists largely because when they added Live View (for still photography :D), they realized that in the process they had done the bulk the R&D for enabling video. Much of what DLSR video is, really, is saving the live view stream that's already being made for the stills. Then,… -
Re: Newbie here, would love some advice!
Here is another story I am inspired to tell because of what Art wrote. I still have, but haven't used in quite awhile, a Vivitar 220/SL manual film camera that has a match needle meter in it. BUT in my particular situation I can make use of that meter any time as the battery happens to be the same #675 that one of my… -
Re: Canon ST-E2 + 580EX II - Manual control
By M on the flash, we mean adjust the power output manually, such as 1/8 or 1/64 power. This mode is not available when using the ST-E2. Don't be confused by the "M" on the flash display, this is simply the Zoom in Manual, the flash also indicate ETTL. As for why an ST-E2? I have one because it made much better sense for… -
Re: HELP ME! Doing a Wedding...
Something I forgot to mention.....I only owned one med for mat camera that did not have a meter in it (a RICOH FLEX twinlens and it was an antique when I ourchased it).....but it was to be only a back up camera (120 film only...no 220).....any way you really need a flash/ambient incident light meter......unless you have…
