Re: Winner of Mini-Challenge #86
Congratulations Patti!! Your winning shot captures an experience we all have when the family "team" gets together to get something done, that is how a lot more is revealed of the personalities of our relatives. The best of our memories are made of that. Liz and Andrew, I reckon you did a wonderful job with challenge #86… -

BD party setup
I went to shoot a BD party "formals" Friday night. My initial intention was to go with the HK setup since it provides a "studio" look-and-feel at a minimum hassle. However, the venue turned out to be too tight, there was no way I could fit the backdrop and two 2x4s to blast it without creating a serious hazard for my… -

Re: Kyrgyzstan
83) Tash Rabat is one of my favorite sites in Kyrgyzstan and also visited infrequently by tourists. The building used to be a combination inn, prison and market and is said to be haunted by locals. 84) Tash Rabat valley. One of my favorite spots in the country and a place you must see if you come. Re: Softbox ideas
I have an older Paul Buff Octabox that I bought from a friend along with his B800. It has to be assembled to use with its 8 spindly little rods, but isn't too bad and I use it on location as well. I used that for those bikini pics of Melissa I posted in People, Foques. For fill on that shoot I used a Speedlight with a 56"… -
Re: Animoto as a digital incentive
Great stuff Cat. Just a suggestion (and only an opinion :D) so take with a grain of salt. Your images can't be hi-jacked or pirated (is that even a word? :D) from the slideshows, right? The watermark/copyright logo, to me, is kind of distracting. Here's why. In each image you only get a second or two to realize the context… -
