Re: Tokina 300mm, advice
I am not familiar with that lens, but the reviews seem to rate it highly. http://www.fredmiranda.com/reviews/showproduct.php?product=173&sort=7&cat=41&page=1 http://www.photographyreview.com/mfr/tokina/35mm-primes/PRD_84300_3111crx.aspx (I suspect this is a similar lens.) http://fourthirdsphoto.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=6858 -

Re: The proposal in the park in the rain
WOW 173, 480 views!!! And long may it continue! I’ve lurked on and off over the years, but these shots definitely deserve a mention as they are simply stunning. I totally agree with you about an emotional connection being the heart of an image and this incredibly well crafted series really does play with those emotional… -
Sebastian - an ice hockey portrait
Still learning how to deal with such long and heavy lens while taking handheld photos. Overall I like the combination of the camera and the lens. I took 173 photos and only 5 were total write offs. Canon 30D Sigma APO 70-200mm F2.8 EX DG HSM Exposure Time = 1/500" F Number = F3.2 Exposure Program = Manual ISO Speed Ratings… -
Universal uploader reports erroneous number of uploaded photos
I've noticed lately (the last two times I used it) that the universal uploader gives nonsensical number of successfully uploaded images. For instance, I made a gallery, uploaded 82 images. It told me it uploaded 173, so I went and looked and no, it uploaded 82. Also, I uploaded 4 images earlier and it told me 36 (or so, I… -
Re: Advice Needed - Bowling Alley
yeah... well... this whole photography at the bowling alley with no tri-pod didn't really pan out how i wanted to. I got a few pictures... but if people were supposed to be in it... forget it... didn't do too well. Still got a lot to learn. I will post some results later on, after i correct all the white balancing. Thanks… -
Re: Name server question
It sounds like you're having issues with Joker, not smugmug... so maybe it'd be best contacting them? Joker's website is absolutely aweful. I did find this though: https://joker.com/faq/index.php?num=4&f_id=1&s_id=20&q_id=151&a_id=173&c=1 Not sure if thats what you're doing. If you're trying to make the domain to resolve… -

Re: Question - SmugMug vs PBase feature
Denise: Sorry, I guess I didn't make my post clear enough. I was asking about the galleries of others, not my personal galleries. Andy: The only way I found to get to "recent galleries" was to use the search box. Is there another button link or is that the only way, other than to make that URL a bookmark. When I finally…
