Re: Referral Question
Thanks for the response. Did Smugmug recently change the way they list referrals, in the past when someone used my coupon code, even if they were still in the trial period their User Name would be listed along with the date they signed up, and their Status would be listed as "Trial" after they paid their Status would be… -

Enjoying the evening sun...
One of the friendly spiders sunning herself (?) on the bloom of a gerbera. Quite accomodating, but the strong evening sun was accompanied by a reasonable breeze which meant plenty of blurred and OOF frames in between a few OK ones. The spider is an Orb, or Cross spider, incredibly common in the UK (they are the ones that… -
Homecoming @ Home Studio
So, I set up my green screen and new (to me) Alien AB800 x 2 with 52" Softboxes with an old Sunbeam flash to bounce from the ceiling to give hair lights.... My intention was to shoot my daughter and her bff... but when the sky's opened up with the rain, I got a whole crowd of beautiful young Homecoming Queens squeezing… -
#52--My First Attempt--C&C Please
Well, I'm just not happy with what I have so far. I'm so envious of the others who have been able to find a common theme with all the letters of their words. Mine is just a hodge-podge and I don't really like the way they look together. I'm planning to keep looking for letters, but I won't have much more time to work on… -
Re: monitor suggestions for photos

To this date, almost all 26" (not 25.5), 27" and 30" monitors use a type of IPS or PVA panel. If you are wandering through a store and see an LCD… -
Re: 7d making a grown man cry
I don't see much noise in that image. It's just a soft image, with perhaps a little motion blur. According to the EXIF data, your subject was 13.8m away. That's like 45 feet. The further away your subject is, the greater the margin of error in autofocus. I assume the image you posted was a 100% crop. If so, the woman's… -
