Re: California Sunsets
Ah Pretty and you will love the "measure tool" I'm on my way out, but in photoshop help look up measure tool, or straightening... It's part of a pallet of 3 tools, and my photoshop is not open right now so I can't remember which one it is. It's on the right side near the bottom and one of those where you click and hold and… -
Re: Very Cherry
Mary K, I will let you all know how the print goes. It would be super if I could actually get that exact red and its transitions but I feel it will not happen. When I use ctrl+shift+Y (gamut chk) the whole flipping images shows grey (98%) for out of gamut which tells me I will only get a close unknown red for final value.… -
Re: Help Help Help
Something like this. They cost under $20 and are MUCH faster at moving images from the CF card to the PC than directly from the camera. This CompactFlash Reader from Lexar connects via USB to your computer to read and download photos directly from any CompactFlash memory card. Designed to optimize your digital camera's… -
Re: High School Football Is Hard...
Yeah, 70-200 is bare minimum. I use a 70-200 with a 1.4TC which basically gives me a 98-280 @ F4. Even then there are times that I wish it was a straight 300. But then also at times I wish I was shooting with 2 bodies, one with a short lens, like 24-70 when the action comes right for you on the sidelines. As far as the… -
Re: Allowing customer's cropping-what's your opinion?
I understand your concerns, and it will be interesting to see if SmugMug has any plans to address this, but in the meantime all we have is what we have. I think it would be a big deal to change the order module. Lets deal with what is available rather than dwell on what isn't. You can use proof delay. You don't have to… -
Hi all. I'm new.
Hi everyone. I found this site on Google. My name's Heidi, and I'm 24 years old. I live with my future hubby (Calvin) and step son (Tyler) in New Brunswick, Canada. I also have a 3 year old Great Dane/Lab named Jetta. She's the one in my avatar! <3 I've always held an interest in photography, but it was when I digital came… -
#98 Trying Again C&C plz
It's springtime in Texas and even though I kind of hate to post more flower pictures, that's what I have today. I do have another set of ideas, but won't get to try that until the weekend. My first set of challenge images "auto-rotated" on download (which changed the exif) & I deleted the images before I noticed my dates.… -
Sling Style Camera Bags
Does anyone have any expirience with Kata Torso Pack (T-214 GDC)? Comfort, accessability, capacity.... I currently own a LowPro Sling AW200 which on my first outing with really enjoyed (6hrs) but the 2nd time out with it (about 3hrs) I found myself making constant adjustments it kept riding up my neck. I want to like the… -
Re: Photo printing at home - what are the options?
If your maximum print size is 13x19, then I'd recommend considering the Epson Stylus Photo 1400. http://www.epson.com/cgi-bin/Store/consumer/consDetail.jsp?BV_UseBVCookie=yes&oid=63066043 It's $300 has a high quality (at least in my view) sub dye systme good for up to 98 years under glass (according to an interview with… -
Re: Hmmm...Could it be true?
Ok, worded that way I can agree with you more. I still think that there is need for a certain artistic talent to shoot a wedding. It's not 100% about capturing the emotion of everyone else at that moment (although like 98% of it is...). There are also the "stuff" shots, flowers, decoration, dinner wear, rings, shoes,…
