Re: Analytics and SmugMug statistics-How to judge them?
Not sure why you selected just one day. I would think a longer sample would be more accurate, maybe a month or two? I have a Smugmug Site and a "regular" site. I don't promote my SM site. I do heavily promote my regular site. Here's my stats for July 31 to Aug 1 for comparison: Smugmug 5 visitors 5 unique visitors 14… -
Is this correct?
So, I'm doing research on them both the SB 800 and 900 and it seems the 800 is quite a bit more powerful, but the 900 has the big zoom. I want the 900 because has all the cool new functions but it isn't near as strong if I am interpreting correctly. The guide numbers for the 900 are: 34/111.5 (ISO 100, m/ft), 48/157.5 (ISO… -
Re: SOLD: Off to Ebay Apple Quad G5, 4.5GB Ram, 500Gb HD, Applecare
I pulled out the ram in my computer to find out what kind it was. It has a sticker that says "DDR 266 256 mb". Went to crucial, found this. http://www.crucial.com/store/listmodule.asp?family=DDR&tabid=DDR+PC2700 The 184-Pin DIMM looks like what I have. I do have a question though. Is it possible to use one 256 (like I… -
Re: SB600 off camera
I use the Elinchrom Skyport triggers to fire an Sb600 off camera. But they are $184 for a set. You could also look into the eBay seller Gadget Infinity. They have several trigger versions that work fairly well. And a third option would be the new triggers from Alienbees. They can be used for your SB600 as well. A setup is… -

I am selling my 35F2 because I bought a 35 1.4. Lens is in mint condition includes box, instructions, both caps and inside packaging. The lens is like new in all respects, the mount shows no wear from careless mounting, the lens body is the same. The glass is perfect with no dust between the elements, the lens is sharp… -
Sam O'Brien Presents
My name is Samantha and I'm 16. I would love some comments on some of my pictures as I will take them into consideration for my portfolio to get into a good college. I have room to grow and I would like to someday become fabulous! haha. Please be very critical as I am not afraid of any comments, just make them detailed.… -
Re: What lense do I want?
Davezwife, welcome to the Digital Grin. The best lenses are pretty expensive and easily make up the greatest part of a system cost. Sigma lenses with HSM motors are pretty quick to focus. Sigma has a reputation for sample variation in image quality from their lenses, so I do recommend purchasing from a reputable supplier… -
Re: what to charge??
I think this is going to take longer than 4 hours. And you need someone else to drive you. 184 shots total (you'll actually shoot a lot more than that). If I understand correctly To get shots approaching the billboard, they probably want to see the billboard in it's urban setting. As your approaching means you need to… -
