SOLD: 40GB Digibin for sale
I bought this last year when "all I had" was two 2GB CF cards. Since I had my 8GB this year I never needed to use the Digibin even once. It has a car charger as well as an AC adapter. The case is sorta cheap but it protects the unit from the elements. I do not have the box, sorry. The nice thing about the Digibin is that… -

Re: Question for the Macro guys.
Jeff, you can certainly take "macro" fames with extension tubes or +diopter filter lens that screw into the filter threads of your lenses, but they are not as convenient as just rotating a lens barrel, and in the midst of all that is going on in a wedding, I would think that swapping ext tubes in and out, would not be that… -
Re: The impossible question....
OK. Going against the grain here... 1. The camera did everything you asked of it for years 2. You got along just fine with the size, operation, and GUI. 3. You knew its capabilities (probably like you do your Bike), and how to get the most out of the camera (probably without thinking). 4. Your image requirements haven't… -
Re: Looking to buy
Ok, so you're switching from continuous lighting to strobes? gotcha.. I suggest checking out the Alien Bee's, White Lightning's, or the Calumet Genesis. You won't be able to get 4 strobes for $600 but it would be a nice kit. You can get two Alien Bee's 800's for $559, white lightnings a lot more expensive and the genesis… -
Re: My 5D is arriving today
Dave, Don't give up on the 5D. I had mine out in the rain again yesterday, and it worked fine. I just kept it inside my coat while walking about. That said, digital cameras are electrical computers, and are not devices that fair well in the rain without protection. Read Michael Reichman's article about camera failures on… -
